Trying to conceive Baby no.2

Hi,

I'm hoping for some advice/ positive stories about TTC baby number 2!!

My DS will be 1 in October and we've been TTC our second child since February as we always knew we wanted them close together.

We were so excited to get a BFP back in June but unfortunately I miscarried at 6 weeks in July. I'm desperate to give our son a sibling and want to complete our family. I know I'm being a bit stressy but we were lucky enough to conceive DS really quickly (within 2 months of being off pill) and now I'm reading all of these scare stories about secondary infertility!

I did an ovulation test on Friday and had peak fertility (I've become extremely used to my cycle now so luckily don't have to spend loads on tests anymore) and we've DTD a lot since then. I'm just hoping this month is our month!

Any support or advice from other people in this situation will be much appreciated!

Good luck to everyone else TTC xx

But did you Dtd loads before he positive opk too?? It takes awhile for sperm to get where they need to be so some people will miss the egg by only Dtd when they get a positive opk.

It's very very average for it to take a year. And that statistic starts over when you have conceived (so from July).

I'm very very sorry for your loss. Be kind to yourself...

Thanks for your reply :)

Yeah, me and DH DTD once every two days throughout the cycle! I'm a bit of a worrier so do the OTK just to check I am actually ovulating Confused haha.

Since the positive OTK we DTD on the actual day (Friday), then on Saturday and on Sunday so hopefully caught the egg. We left roughly 24 hours between though? Apparently if it's too often you can get poor quality sperm?
