Hi everyone!
I’m looking for some advice really.
We had a miscarriage at 12 weeks and after a crazy 11 weeks of continuous bleeding emergency additional d&c, cysts developed all over ovaries I finally had my first period and then a positive opk last Thursday evening 17:00. I tested the day before on Wednesday at 20:00 and the opk was a complete negative, not even a faint line. Typically my husband was out of town all week but came back on the following night on Friday (really Saturday morning at 2:00). (Opk showed only a faint line that night). We tried that night and the follow two days as well before he left again for work.
I’ve been trying to rack my brain looking at timeframes online.
What I understand is...
Opk can be positive for 12-36 hours before ovulation then when egg is released you have 24 hours from that point to fertilise it. But who knows at what point the surge started and how long it takes for the egg to be released.
I’m trying to not get my hopes up too much but I can’t help but wonder if we could be lucky. I mean after all the pain and sadness over the last three months I’m just holding onto the chance of a miracle.
So, my question is: has anyone been lucky when only ttc after positive opk? Or should I stop holding onto a false hope??
