Chemical pregnancy??? Is there any hope

Hiya.
I'm 11 days late for my period and last week I had 3 faint positive pregnancy tests. All bought separately. I've attached a picture of one of the tests. Well I had bad stomach pain last night but no bleeding so decided to go to hospital anyway, they done they're tests and both were negative the urine was negative and the blood HCG test was less than 1 so they didn't look into it. Said I was either pregnant and now I'm not or I wasn't pregnant and the tests were wrong and that was it. But I still have no period. I'm nauseous peeing more heartburn extremely tired all the same symptoms I had with my little girl who is now 2. I'm so confused I just don't know if this is a chemical pregnancy or what is the chances of three separate tests being wrong the line is faint on the test but it came up in the correct time it's meant to and is easily seen. Is there any chance I am still pregnant and the hospital is wrong or is it just a waiting game for my period to come ?

Thanks x

Hi - I just wanted to say I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I read somewhere that you don't get false positives with pregnancy tests, so I'm wondering if you were very briefly pregnant but it wasn't viable and you'll get your period soon . . .

Did the hospital give you any advice as to what to do next? I would have thought they would offer a scan to see what's going on.

Thanks

Thank you. No I went to my GP today and she said if no period within a week to go back. But the hospital didn't even feel my tummy to check where the pain was coming from they literally just said the test we done was negative and the HCG blood test was less than 1 so your no longer pregnant you should expect bleeding soon and that's causing the pain. I'm still having cramps and stabbing pains atm and I just can't understand why all this is happening I have one daughter and have had 5 miscarriages in the last 6 years I just feel like I'm never going to get pregnant again x

Oh no - that's so frustrating, that they've just sent you home to watch and wait Sad

It sounds like you've been through a terrible time with the miscarriages. In our area if you have two miscarriages they'll do some testing to see if they can establish a cause - is this something you've asked for?

Mummyneedinganswers · 10/09/2018 19:25

I already had tests done as I had 4 miscarriages before I had my little girl. They said I have pcos and raised oestrogen levels. And that my miscarriages were caused by blood clots forming in the umbilical cord or something like that I can't quite remember the exact term they used. I'm just so devastated by all this. I've had so much going on my little girl is being tested for autism and tics disorder. And I've been quite sick and I just finally thought we were getting a break and got some good news and another little bundle of joy to add to our wee family and now it feels like it's been ripped away from us. My last miscarriage was terrible it happened on my birthday and the baby actually came out of me on my bathroom floor I held the tiny baby in my hand and ending up hemorrhaging and being admitted to hospital I just don't think I can go through this again x

Op that's so traumatic, I can't imagine the horror of what you've been through.

Is your partner supportive? It sounds as if you're trying to cope with all this alone so I'm hoping you have someone close to help you get through it.

Were you given any treatment plans for if you wanted to become pregnant again - I'm not a doctor but at a wild guess I thought they might have suggested taking a low-dose aspirin or something?

I'm sorry, I can't help or fix this for you, just offer a hand-hold x

Mummyneedinganswers · 10/09/2018 20:55

Yea my partner is very supportive but he's struggling too with all of this. Im allergic to aspirin which means I can't take it so I'm at a loss I really don't know what to do I've been ttc since my little girl was 3 months old and she's now nearly 3 so frustrating having the miscarriage just over a year ago and now this I just wish in some way or miracle that they got it wrong and I am still pregnant I'm scared to take a hpt again incase there's a line and it's wrong or they tell me my bloods are still negative I just don't know what to do xx

I'm glad you've contacted your doctor. Is your partner there to look after you? Thanks
