First ever line eyes!

I haven’t had regular periods since I came off the pill in November- they last up to 90 days so I wouldn’t know if I were pregnant from missing one.

I’m under investigation from the doc for irregular periods- possible PCOS so don’t hold much hope of falling pregnant but take a test every Sunday just to make sure.

Look what I’ve just seen! Is this real?! X

Also panicking now as I had a couple of glasses of wine this week and have been on co codamol for pain relief from a shoulder this week....

Well that is definitely a line.
It does look like it's further over, but still about the right distance from the control line, so the whole bit of the strip is prob ably not quite in the middle of the window!

Are you going to repeat the test?

SaturdaySauv · 09/09/2018 07:02

It’s a bit grey and off centre- I might to tempted to buy a FRER to check it’s not an evap.

HettySunshine · 09/09/2018 07:03

As pp says. Definitely a line, just not quite where I'd expect. Looks pretty unequivocal to me.

lovetherisingsun · 09/09/2018 07:05

Line!!!! I bought the pregnancy lab strips for about £3 for a pack of 20 off ebay, tested all of them in my joy at my first line :) Do loads more!

Seablueeyes · 09/09/2018 07:10

Thank you all.

That’s what threw me- the position. Didn’t know if it was just where the Asda test line came up. I usually use internet cheapies but didn’t have any left. I don’t have any more of any tests and threw away my beaker of wee as was expecting there to be no line as normal.

I’m going to buy another one for tomorrow.

Here’s another close up...

I found one after frantically searching at the back of the cupboard and then forced another dribble of wee out Blush

Now that cheapie is a definite positive! Congratulations

DrG13 · 09/09/2018 07:26

Yay!! Definitely a line. Pleased for you 👍🏻

GlitterRollerSkate · 09/09/2018 07:26

Looking good. Fingers crossed for you.

DuploRelatedInjury · 09/09/2018 07:27

Looks like the first positive test I had with DC2 - I tested 2 days later and got a blazing positive on the same sort of test.

MaverickSnoopy · 09/09/2018 07:29

I was a bit uncertain about the asda one but the cheapie backs it up. Definitely a line.

Seablueeyes · 09/09/2018 07:36

This is absolutely crazy. With investigations, literally thought I’d need medical intervention. Last week the doc was talking about putting me on Metformin if my periods didn’t return by Christmas.

Obviously I’ll stop co cocodamol straight away. I had a couple of glasses of wine last week but have read before that as long as I stop now, it shouldn’t make a difference. What about the co codamol? Feel awful now as I know that shouldn’t be taken when pregnant.

Congratulations !! I had a bottle of wine before finding out I was pregnant with DD and a solpodol for an ingrown toe nail (gross). She's abit of a lunatic but she's a healthy happy 2 year old now SmileWine

welshweasel · 09/09/2018 07:47

Cocodamol is fine to take in pregnancy so don’t panic.

Congratulations!

Seablueeyes · 09/09/2018 08:05

Thank you all.

Waiting for my husband to wake up now to share with him! Trying to keep calm but just can’t believe this has happened.

Will test again tomorrow to make double sure. Maybe with the clear blue date indicator- my last period was the start of June but doctors won’t be able to date it from then as I’ve tested every week since then and this is the first positive!

I just did a test and it was off centre too, was a wilko one but the casing looks the same as this. I wasn't sure on mine but if this is a positive I'm slightly more hopeful for my line!🤞🏻

polkadotpixie · 09/09/2018 09:22

Congratulations! Co-codamol is fine during pregnancy so don't worry on that front 😊

loubluee · 09/09/2018 11:03

Congratulations!
