Hey everyone! I'm new here and just been reading some forums but just curious to get your opinions.

I have been on a pill called 'Rigevidon' (a combined pill) since December 2017. I stopped taking this pill Monday 3rd September 2018 and I also had unprotected sex on the same day (he did pull out but I know that means nothing!). I finished a pack and had my withdrawal bleed prior to this and then was about to begin another pack until I decided not to. (I did take Mondays tablet and then stopped)

I was planing on using condoms for the next few months until my cycle is back to normal and then start trying for a baby, however after speaking to my doctor she has told me to take a pregnancy test in 3 weeks time just incase I conceived on that one day!

From all of your previous experiences, is is possible I could have conceived already? How soon after stopping the pill can you conceive? My doctor said it is possible to have conceived from the week before! So what are the chances? I hope this all makes sense. Thank you for all your responses in advance. Smile

Ok so can you break this down:

what day did you take the last pill?
What day did your withdrawal bleed start?

Hi, thank you for replying!

I took my last pill on Monday 3rd September which was the start of a new pack.

My withdrawal bleed started Tuesday 28th August

Any suggestions?

Sorry putting my baby to bed lasted several hours this evening! Yeah the 3rd September is 6 days after your cycle started so it's pretty unlikely that you would be pregnant. Most people ovulate around cycle day 14 although your cycles will be a bit messed up with coming off the pill. Not impossible but unlikely.

No worries! Thank you for that info. But just out of curiosity, if you miss a pill during a pack how comes can you get pregnant? But it's not possible for me who has come off and had unprotected sex the same day x

Whether you miss a pill or not you still need to have sex on your fertile days to get pregnant. If the only unprotected sex you had was on cycle day 6 then it's not likely that would be a fertile day.

Having said that, the combined pill messes with your cycles a bit so I guess theoretically it could have been a fertile day for you. Basically the only way you'll know is with a pregnancy test!

Okay, so the chance is very slim but it's not impossible. Thank you :-)
