ttc while breastfeeding

My dd is 1. She still wants bf at night. About 3-4 times. My periods came back two months ago. Is there any chances of me getting pregnant, as im still bf. I read that even though my periods have returned, i may not actually be ovulating. Should we carry on trying, or wait until she completely stops bf?

I had to stop bf to concieve but periods returned 4 weeks pp.
Stopped ebf at 5 months but still did a few feeds a day.
Conceived then. 14 months between dc!!

@Kaye03 Hiya 👋, I'm breastfeeding my 2 1/2 year old and ttc #3. My periods returned within the first year and cycle seems pretty regular started taking folic acid a few months before we started.

You could try using ovulation tests to see if you are ovulating. I didn't get my periods back until I completely stopped bfing but got pregnant immediately after that.
