I'm assuming I got a dud batch of One Step tests. I ordered the regular width tests, and as around 4+2 today.

IC and digital were dipped in the same urine sample this morning, and first response is from this afternoon 👍

That is awful. You wonder how long you’d need to be pregnant to get a positive with them. Congratulations on your positive!!!!

Sunshinegirl82 · 04/09/2018 21:51

I posted about the exact same thing last week! I'm now about 3-4 days past AF being due and I'm only just starting to get vaguely clear lines on the IC's! Even now they're faint and you have to really look!

I only did the digital to rule it out, couldn't believe it when it was positive!

mayago · 05/09/2018 13:08

Thanks @Lemonsugar I think they probably won't turn properly positive.

Shocking, isn't it @Sunshinegirl82 I didn't have an issue with cheap tests in my first pregnancy.

I suppose it could be worse if they were showing false positives!

Hi OP, congratulations on your pregnancy! I just wanted to say thank you so much for giving me some hope and comfort that I'm not going mad!

I've been TTC number 2 for 2 years and this month We tried SMEP and I've had every symptom in the book and really really feel like I did when I was pregnant with my son. I'm 12DPO today and got a negative test on an IC like yours. I never get my hopes up as it's taken so long, but this time I really had and I was devastated this morning.

To be fair, AF isn't due til Monday so I know I'm not out yet, but I've ordered some FRER just in case.

Best of luck for a healthy pregnancy! Thanks

Thank you @Glitterandunicorns

I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!!

ICs are always like that. They're cheap for a reason

5tarlight · 07/09/2018 17:32

Agree! I had been using ICs in past months and then saving frers for 'best' ie was just planning to use to confirm a faint line on ic. (and never got a faint line) This time I got stark white ic 2 days after period due, the next day after feeling wiped out and sleeping all day and still no sign I thought 'oh bugger it lets see' with the frer and it was a the clearest bfp ever (afternoon test, didn't have time to put the cap back on!) Next morning fmu IC was the palest whisper of a line that you prob miss and chuck away. What they were good for in my paranoid state was seeing a bit of line progression each day (then I stepped AWAY from tests and let myself believe it.) It's hard though as using frers for months and months of TTC would be so expensive... the ic pack says 'highly sensitive, results up to 6 days earlier'. Earlier than what am not sure! A scan!? 🤷
Wishing you best of luck x

Oh no! I bought some of these off Amazon as I've not been feeling well for a few weeks and felt very similar to how I did with DS, I did 2 or 3 over a good few days and nothing. This makes me worry a little now, might go and try another one 🙈 have to say I was quite relieved as only been in a relationship just under 4 months

I always thought IC's were supposed to be just as good. They worked a treat last time

SparklyMagpie · 07/09/2018 17:53

Congratulations ladies btw

I have just noticed, nearly all posters say they had no problems with these first pregnancy. That's abit freaky isn't it, or is it just me knowing I now can't be sure If i am pregnant Shock

Glitterandunicorns · 07/09/2018 21:25

I used those in my first pregnancy too and they worked fine for me then!

I've ordered some FRER just to be sure. All day today, my boobs have been ridiculously sore to the extent I almost cried putting my bra on (I was having a guest over!) This is not usually a PMT symptom I have, so I'm intrigued by what's going on! I'm not due on til Monday so we'll see.
