Hey everyone!
I had been taking the pill for 7 years ( microgynon ) and me and my OH decided 6 weeks ago After a lottttt of thinking that we wanted to TTC! So excited! Anyhow.. I’m looking to chat with others in the same or similar position as me? Share stories and give advice etc? 😃 thanks huns! Xxxx

I came off the pill (cerelle) about 7 months ago, but have only actively been trying for the last couple of weeks!

Are you tracking your cycles with an app or anything? I use Flo and I really like it, simple and looks nice!

Can't wait to get my bfp, but also terrified at the same time!!

Yes I’m using the Flo app too although when I came off my pill I had a breakthrough bleed about a month ago and no bleeding since so not sure when to expect my period?

What was it like for you when you stopped taking your pill?

I am exactly the same! I’m so excited to get a BFP but I know it will be a mix of emotions when it actually happens! Good luck on your TTC journey.

I would deffo use the Ovia app! I came off the pill a few years ago and conceived my daughter after about 6 months.

I came off the pill last November and conceived my current pregnancy after two cycles haha!

Take your pre natal vitamins, eat well - I swear both times I've conceived it was genuinely because I was on a health kick (both my babies were conceived in January haha)

Mycrogynon is 3 weeks on 1 week off right? Hopefully your cycle will settle into a more natural rhythm soon. Do you know/remember what your cycles were like before you went on?

I have irregular/long cycles. Atm my cycles are 50 days!! 😱

I bought some opks to make sure everything is ticking along naturally, they arrived today so will start to use them. And treated myself to a BBT thermometer too - isn't adulting fun 😆

I think the best advice is to not get too stressed and wound up about it, especially at the start. You never know, you might be one of the lucky ones who conceives super quickly!

I've found myself not being able to relax as much as I normally do when we're dtd though which I'm surprised at!

I am a newbie here!

I came off the pill mid July had my withdrawal bleed and then after 46 long days the real AF arrived. Currently ON CD3.

My OH and I decided at the beginning of the year to start trying in May but something got in the way and so we left it until July for me to come off the pill and now if I fall pregnant this cycle it's going to clash with my sister's wedding which I am a bridesmaid for.
Do you think I should hold off a couple of months to keep her happy or continue to try as we planned?

I am same position as you, took my last pill from the packet (also Microgynon) on Saturday, waiting for my withdrawal bleed and will then start TTC our first! Xx

@MMKMN my cycles were always very light whilst on the pill sometimes only lasted about 1/2 days. I might try those! I’m just wondering when I should take a test as we have been trying for 6 weeks and no sign of my period. I don’t know when to take a test? Because don’t know when my period is due. Did your periods go back to normal soon after coming off the pill?
I’m trying not to get stressed about it and just go with the flow but that’s easier said than done haha. Me and my OH have been together for 4 years what about you Hun xx

Hi Ebonyx! I’d been on Microgynon for 8 years before stopping it at the beginning of August! So quite similar to you - Also no idea when my period is due but think it might be this week if I’m back on a 28 day cycle but I didn’t have a bleed when I stopped it so who knows!! Did a test this morning and BFN 🤷‍♀️ Might try again in a few days xx

@mittens18 hello! I’m exactly the same no idea when my period is going to come and if it’s going to at all. Do you think it’s possible to have conceived straight after stopping the pill and before my period has even came yet? Or is that just me being too optimistic haha!
Yes definitely try another if your period hasn’t arrived in the next few days and keep us updated 😀 xx

Yeh that’s what I’m thinking as it’s possible but probably overly optimistic to think I’ve conceived without having a period?! I definitely feel different (may just be symptom spotting...) and test this morning was just a normal one not a frer one.
Will test again in a few days and let you know!! Fingers crossed for BFP’s!! Xx

Hi I'm in a similar boat, but I recently had my implant removed (20th Aug) and did have irregular bleeding while on it. I wanted to wait until my first post contraception AF before TTC, just to get a better idea of whether my cycle is getting back to normal, but I'm quite impatient! I decided to start taking OPKs (the ones that detect both hormones) around the time when I thought I should be ovulating and had both, high fertility days and then a peak fertility day on CD16! So hopefully AF should be arriving next week, then it's time to start trying
I hope things become regular for you again soon!

Tested again today as has been 4 days since my last test but still BFN! AF was due on Wednesday so 3 days late but I guess that’s a rough estimate coming off Microgynon! Will probably test again next week just to be certain as they are standard tests not FRERs.
