How accurate is a Clearblue digital?

Hi all,

We have one DS (2) and started thinking it might be nice to start thinking about another DC. It took 8+ months to get pregnant last time so I assumed nothing would happen early. We weren't really trying this month and (I thought) were out timing wise.

I've been feeling a bit weird and so did an Internet cheapy test. I was sure I could see something. It was so faint I had to hold it up to the light and look at it at a certain angle to even see it. Thought it was an evap but decided to throw away 10 quid on a digital just to rule it out. It came back "pregnant 1-2".

I'm assuming the digital must be right? How come the other (supposedly super sensitive) tests are pretty much negative? I can't quite believe it's true...

I've done 3 clear blue digital this week and all came back 1-2 weeks but all the internet cheapies were so faint they were almost negative!! I would definitely try FRER as I've had 3 more consistent results with those. I'm going a bit mad peeing on sticks at the moment due to previous losses. I need to step away from them!

They are pretty accurate, I think you can be confident it is a BFP! Congratulations and best wishes

I have FRER and 2 more digitals on the way tomorrow thanks to Amazon Prime. I just can't quite believe it, I think I'm in shock!!

Excellent! Good luck, I'm sure they will confirm your BFP Smile

Digi's can be inaccurate sometimes as they aren't as sensible as other tests so often show a false negative. However, it would be extremely rare to show a false positive!

CongratulationsThanks

*sensitive!

Not sensible

Well FRER and further digital this morning are both BFP's! Can't believe it!

Similar to you it took around 9 months of trying with DD1. We started trying for DC2 and I became pregnant with DD2 pretty much as soon as I had my coil removed, not what we were expecting!

Beetlebum1981 · 01/09/2018 15:05

Congratulations too!

I’m so confused....The first day of my last period was 29thjuly. Ovulation showed to be 10th if I worked out. but in fact ovulation test only came positive on 14th... I did clear blue weeks test on day of missed period 27th & 28th and both showed 3+ weeks? I’m confused this doesn’t add up? That means I conceived on 6th or before? I had miscarriage 2 months ago so very confused. Anyone else had similar thing?
