Positive OPK 3 days before af

Hi is it normal to get a positive OPK 3 days before I'm due af? I did a FRER yesterday (11dpo) which was negative and I'm going to save my last FRER for tomorrow. I decided to use an OPK today to curb my poas addiction and it was a strong positive! does this mean af is coming or could it be a good sign? Thanks

I have no advice as I’m in the same boat! AF due 2 days again had negative HPT but strong positive OPK!

From what I've read you can get an LH surge (what the opk tests for) just before menstruating. Our bodies are very confusing!

Oh no not the response I wanted haha @doddlebobs. I did think this might be the case though.
Hope you get the result you want @Ivydawn I've just tested on an OPK again and the line is faint again now so I'm wondering if I will be coming on early tomorrow. Who knows, so confusing!

Hello! I never go on this board so not sure why I did now but had to tell you my experience. I hope it doesn't give false hope but ...

I heard that you could get positive OPK when pregnant. I had loads of sticks and it kind of satisfied my urge to POAS without disappointment.

Last year I got extremely dark positive OPKs three days running before my BFP. Important to note they were very very dark and went dark quickly! Subsequent pregnancy test was very pale!

Oh wow thank you for sharing your experience @NoMoreNurseryRhymesPlease I hope this is the case for me! I'm not sure how long my OPK's would've been positive for, as today was the first time I had taken one since ovulation. Really hoping this is a good sign. As if our bodies weren't confusing enough already!
