Faulty Clearblue OPK?

This is my second month using CB digi OPK. For the second morning, the monitor isn't reading the result - the test symbol in the screen doesn't flash and no symbol appears within 5 minutes.

Has anyone else had this? Am I just going to have to fork out for a new box?

I'm just trying to read the results from the lines on the strip, but I like the reassurance of the flashy faces!

Have you definitely inserted the stick properly? Checked the batteries? Was there enough wee on the stick?

Thanks @WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream

Defers inserted it properly, and I dipped it for a good 15 seconds so I think it was well saturated.

I hadn't thought of batteries, but I think I read that you can't change them.

The monitor is from a box from last year - it was unused and unwrapped but maybe it's just past it's use by date. The sticks I'm using have an expiration date at the end of the month.

Would you trust just reading the strength of the line on the stick?
