@Rainbow714 I too would like to know this I recently had a second miscarriage in June and had a negative test exactly 3 weeks after surgery, not very nice seeing negative test but I found it helped me to move on a little and start to try again. Xx

Can really vary - helpful to use OPKs/temping if you’re trying to time things.

For me:
Natural m/c at 8 weeks - ovulated 10 days after bleeding stopped
Natural m/c at 4.5 weeks - ovulated 14 days after bleeding started, so effectively the same as with a period for my cycles
Surgical m/c at 9 weeks - ovulated 16 days after surgery.

So sorry for your losses @Rainbow714 and @Lauraliverpool.
As pp said it really varies and from the million pages on google info I read online there seems to be no hard and fast answer.

Before conceiving DD I had a chemical pregnancy and was charting so I know that I skipped ovulation the following month. However having had an early loss this month (started bleeding at 5.5 weeks, but I don't know when pregnancy stopped developing) I am fairly sure I'm ovulating now (not temping but used OPKs and monitoring CM), having only stopped bleeding on 18th August - which would be on my usual ov day based on the bleed being counted as a normal period. I think it really depends on how far along you were when you miscarried. I had HCG tests which put me at a very low 46 after 3 days bleeding, so I had a light natural bleed which is maybe why ovulation hasn't been disrupted for me this time.

Lauraliverpool · 29/08/2018 11:31

So sorry for your losses @53rdWay I do have a clear blue monitor which I used for ovulation and decided not to use it this time, see if anything happens and also cause my period has been a bit strange since didn't know if the monitor would actually work. @toomanyflatewhites so sorry to you as well, I think I might have ovulated but can't be 100 per cent sure just going by I felt different in myself and monitored cm too. Only had a light bleed this month too don't know what that was about. Xx

toomanyflatwhites · 29/08/2018 12:03

Oh and sorry to you too of course as well @53rdWay, it must be so hard to go through multiple times Thanks
With regards to the app, I was using Glow as well as Fertility friend. When I logged the days I was bleeding FF immediately then calculated ovulation/AF dates (which may have been wrong of course) whereas Glow says it will recalculate once my period comes back - ie it doesn't count the bleed as a period. So they do seem to vary in how they respond when you log it!

Thank you for all your replies and im sorrry for your losses. Such a shitty thing to go through, when i had my last MC i concieved 3months after with my daughter so im hoping there is light at the end of the tunnel. Ive got some strips to use just not sure when to start testing, im usia Ovia (app) but its not clear like it was before with me bleeding for so long xx

@Rainbow714 I'm currently going through this too. I've counted first day of full flow miscarriage as CD1. I then started testing with OPKs from CD8 (stopped bleeding CD6). I got my peak a week later than my normal ovulation (14 days after bleeding stopped) - thought the flashing smileys would never end! I'm not convinced I actually did ovulate, as seemed to have fertile cm several days after peak. Anyway, my tracker app still has that I'll get AF in 2 days, but if I ovulated a week late, I'm expecting AF to be a week later too.

Delilah7 · 29/08/2018 18:41

Hi ladies. So sorry you've had to go throw this too.
I miscarried start of this month and stopped bleeding on the 6th. Took a test on 9th which was negative. I had ovulations pains and EWCM my usual time so 13th or 14th can't remember what date. I'm still not on my period now after 5 weeks after the first bit of bleeding. Bodies telling me I'm pregnant but tests are saying otherwise. :( wondering if I really did ovulate that quickly!

Delilah7 · 29/08/2018 18:41

Through *

Lauraliverpool · 29/08/2018 18:51

Just done a frer which think is negative, I'm going to wait if I can til next week now, have no idea when af is due. X

Rainbow714 · 29/08/2018 19:12

So sorry your all going through this too, my app is saying im fetile now but i only stopped bleeding yesterday with a negative test result. So i know its wrong, it doesnt seem to have changed my cycle with me bleeding for 15days! @Delilah maby give it another few days then test again? You might be early on in pregnancy or could be just your cycle trying to get back to normal. Hope your okay xx

Rainbow714 · 29/08/2018 19:55

Its such a hard time something that never goes away, speaking from my last experience and this one. But you do get stronger, we always light a candle for my last MC & will do the same for this one, it kind of helps will always be apart of you. Wed been trying for this pregnancy for a year so was so over the moon & then for it to end this way is heartbreaking (it was on going for weeks endless scans and tests) Im desperate to be pregnant again too and hoping it happens again soon xxx

Lauraliverpool · 29/08/2018 19:57

@Delilah7 will try and keep myself busy, shouldn't be too hard with a 2 year old. X

Lauraliverpool · 29/08/2018 20:02

@Rainbow714 that is true you do become stronger, we've got a 4ever lock inscribed with the nicknames we had for our two little ones going to place it on a memory tree at Liverpool women's. I hope it happens again for us all soon. Xx

Rainbow714 · 29/08/2018 20:09

Lauraliverpool · 30/08/2018 12:46
