Depo injection

I've never been on here before and I'm unsure if anyone has any advice. I've been off my depo injection for 1year 2 months now and been trying for a baby for 3 months. My periods started up again in Dec 2017 and have been on a normal cycle since March 2018. I've read so real horror stories online about women being infertile and I was hoping for some positive story's and for advice on time length as I was naive in thinking I would get pregnant quickly and I'm starting to panic that I've done some damage by using that form of contraception.

It's very very average to take up to a year to fall pregnant with regular cycles. They don't teach you that part in school.

Depo can cause a delay in the return of normal cycles but is reversible so does not cause sterility. The definition of infertility is ttc for a year or more without conception. Because depo can cause cycles to not return for a year (or more in some cases) it can cause the technical definition of infertility, but it's more like a delay in the return of fertility...
