Sorry I know there are loads of threads along these lines, but I need someone to talk to & can't in RL. Have name changed, i'm afraid, but am a regular.

Am on day 26 of a usually 28 day cycle, but last month was 31 days, strangely. Had sex on days 16, 17 & 18 (that was a good weekend ). Not deliberately TTC, but made up our minds that we would like to have a babe eventually, so leaving it in the lap of the gods really.

Anyway, now:

  • Boobs agony for the last 5 days (usually 2 - 3 days before period)
  • Feel a bit faint, tired, and slightly nauseus. Only want to eat little bits of bland food.
  • Sense of smell very acute all of a sudden
  • Weeing more than usual
  • But feeling a bit periody in my tum

Did a test yesterday, but the man from clearblue, he say "no".

So what the blue blazes is going on with my body? I would think the sex was too late for me to be PG - no?

Don't assume you ovulate on day 14, the days could still be good. Your symptoms certainly sound good, but you may have tested a bit early. Leave it a few days (agony, I know) and test again. Good luck!!

Hi Beansprout - I don't know you (obviously...!) but saw your good news on one of the other conception threads & was V happy for you. Hope you're feeling fine & dandy.

If you really want to get a grip then: I find I often get really sore boobs and nausea at the height of the 2nd half on menstral cycle, so it could be that you ov'd slightly later again this month and that you are not pg, but will get af in a few days.

Of course that is not what you want to hear and i shall instead say, hey, all those symptoms sound promising, your good weekend obviously worked! and try testing again in a couple of days like beansprout said!!!!

Really hope you get the answer you are looking for.....! Let us know....

weepootleflump · 05/06/2007 22:02

I get all those symptoms (except sore boobs) before AF comes as well- it still tricks me every month into thinking I just might be...

whomovedmychocolate · 05/06/2007 22:04

I ovulated and got pregnant on day 9 of a 31 day cycle - anything is possible.

I normally find a pregnancy test an excellent way of inviting Aunty Flo to stay! Not now obv as I'm bfing and have no periods whatsoever (hurrah!)

I'd try again after the weekend if nothing changes. Hope you get the result you want.

FrillyKnickers · 05/06/2007 22:14

Ah thanks for talking sense ladies. Whomovedmychoc - you're quite right about Aunt Flo. When my period was late last month & I eventually went & bought a test, went straight to the loo & there she was... Doh!

In fairness, I don't usually get the other symptoms apart from sore boobs, but I guess only time will tell

Frilly Knickers- I too interpret every twinge, nauseous feeling and slightly thicker waist as a signal to get the tests out. It's more likely to be the chocolate though .

I'm also bfing so I have no ficking idea what my body is doing half the time and my GP says I probably won't have a period again before my next pregnancy - so you can imagine what a minefield picking a testing date is for me.

Have you retested yet btw?

FrillyKnickers · 06/06/2007 20:24

WMMC that sounds thoroughly confusing for you!

Not re-tested. You lot have succeded in bringing me down to earth, so will wait & see what happens over the weekend & test again on Monday if necessary. Am also having a large glass of wine tonight after abstaining for the last few days. Yay!
