Negative opks?

I bought some cheap OPKs called 'one step' off the internet. I starting testing from about the 8th day in my cycle (my cycle is regular and 28 days), doing one in the morning and one on an evening. Every test has two lines but the control line is darker and the test line doesn't seem to be getting any darker. My app now says today should be my ovulation day but still no sign of a darker line. However i have noticed a change in mucus and I have had slight cramping but still the test is still showing negative. I came off to implant end of June but periods have been regular since.

I usually ovulate after several days of muscus and around day 18 to 20. My test line also goes from negative to very strongly positive within a day, so don’t worry about there needing to be a gradual build up.

Check the instructions as lots of internet cheapies say to avoid testing in the morning and do so in the afternoon or evening instead.

I'll keep testing on just evenings then because I'm starting to run out of tests! Oh that's reassuring, I was expecting it to get gradually darker as the surge rises. The tests doesn't say when's best to do it, but I have just read on the internet to avoid testing morning urine just before I saw your reply Smile hopefully I'll ovulate soon. Thank you for reply
