We've been trying for a baby for about 7 months now... I came off the depo injection about a year and a half ago now and my body seemed to be getting back to normal the last couple of months.

I hadn't come on last monday, so did a test. Negative. I started getting a few niggly pains, and thought I was about to have my period, but still nothing... this went on for a week so I did another test yesterday. Still a negative! I still have a few aches, but still no period! I'm never late. I have been a week early before, because of the injection, but never late. I feel queasy, my boobs are really achey and I'm really emotional... but I'm apparantly not pregnant

It's just really confusing... I'm now over a week late and no signs of anything happening other than these aches which I've had for over a week now...

My friend waited ages for the test to give her a positive. It drove her crazy, she did all the things she should i.e. doing it in the morning so that her water intake did not dilute the hormone.

Apparently it depends how much of a certain hormone you produce, sorry I can't remember which one.

I'll keep my fingers crossed, if you are still getting negatives in the coming weeks maybe you should have a blood test at the docs.

these things happen. sometimes it's possible to be late or to even miss a period without reason. this happened to me last year and even though gp thought I was pregnant it turned out that I wasn't. don't get your hopes up, these boards are full of posters who are late/have missed a period and have turned out not to be pregnant

I didnt get + until 7 weeks with ds1, 5=5 ish with ds2.

the hormone is hcg and does take time to build up.

have you been stressed? on a diet? maybe worryign about this testing is stressing you - it did for me, i ended up being 12 days late.

i really hope you are though!
