Oh delilah7, it's so easy to say about keeping calm but another thing entirely when it's someone so dear. Try and keep strong and it's a positive thing they have found it. At least this way he can get the medical help he needs. Really am thinking of you. 💖xxx

@amber28 I have never heard of that but it's interesting to hear what docs can do, and what must be done before referring on. A lot of people have said docs won't do anything before 1 year unless you are 35+ so I'm surprised they are doing that!

Good luck though, it sounds a bit scary but at least it will give you an idea if something is up or not.

Hi @civicxxx a lot of people say the clear blue digital is the best, but they are the most expensive! I've used internet cheapies but the CBD was right and they were wrong this month so may stick to the clear blue.

@delilah7 it's awful when things happen to your parents isn't it, I think I worry more the older I get! I don't know what I'd do without mine.

Welcome @itinkthereforeima! My boobs get really sore around and after ovulation, I swear our bodies do it to tease us!! Good luck!

What's everyone upto this weekend?
I'm currently googling if you can get pg from sex 4 days before ovulation!

I also have a bit of a problem down there... TMI but I think it's an infection 😥 it started the day of ov, so I think even if DH had initiated DTD I don't think I'd have been able to, i had wanted to try yesterday as i know the day after ov is the last chance, but that put a stop to my thought.

Maybe it's just not to be this month!

@delilah7 how’s your dad today?

I’m 6/7 dpo today and woke up in the night with sharp stabbing feelings around my uterus / lower abdomen that lasted a few seconds. Was a bit odd!

@delilah7 yeah I’ve had a word with her downstairs and let her know what she’s in for in a few days time 😉

@Crossfitgirl pretty sure sperm can survive 5 days so you're in with a shot. In fact @purplestar9 didn't you get your BFP only DTD 4/5 days before?

@Crossfitgirl I hope you are okay 😘 are you doing much this weekend? I'm celebrating my sisters 30th birthday this weekend so the healthy eating is out the window. Also got a positive OPK and the way it has fallen with SMEP we are on day 4 in a row of dtd! We are whacked!! Poor DH! 🙈
Got to go again tonight aswell 😳 FX it'll work come 2 weeks time!

I'm ok, however period is awful. Sorry for TMI but lots of clots etc etc... I'm used to severe periods anyways but this is just abnormal 😂😂 xx

@Lougg yep, only DTD 4 and 5 days before ovulation but it worked! :)

@Delilah7 last night was such hard work but we shall power through and dtd tonight 😂. DH is in s band so at a gig tonight so will pounce when he is home!
Aww bless you, take some time for you this weekend. At least once AF is passed you can get back on DTD! 😜

Meant to say positive OPK was yesterday so have I ovulated already or will it be today?

MrsC87 as far as my research goes a positive OPK means you’ll ovulate in the day(s) after but they’re not 100% so you could have already ovulated/be ovulating. But as everyone else is saying The advice is to DTD as much as you can around the times of your OPK and for a few days after! So looks as though you’re giving yourself a very good chance! Fingers crossed for you.

DH and I only usually DTD once/ maximum twice a week so it’s been a bit forced sometimes and we’ve both felt a bit pressured. Any advice on how to keep the romance alive is welcome!

stormtrooperjulian I also woke up last night with weird pressure cramps! Hoping it’s good news by it’s been so long since I’ve had AF it’s so hard to tell if it’s just PMS! POAS urge just getting stronger by the day 😩 xx

@Lougg thank you for that!! @purplestar9 I'm so happy to hear that, maybe I'm still in with a shot. I was convinced I was out, but maybe the 2WW will still be crazy! (or 1WW for me, since my luteal phase is only 8 days)

@purplestar9 can I ask randomly, how healthy is your DH? I'm crazy enough to think about how healthy my DH is and whether this will reflect how long his soldiers will last inside me!! haha. He's been out drinking last night and is hungover today... but he does take daily vitamins and tries to eat healthy.
We've DTD in previous months the day before and 2 days before ovulation I think, but we didn't have a lot of sex and I've heard that if you save it all up for the big O day, a lot of the sperm will already be dead because it's been in his bits too long!

talk about overthinking!!

@mrsc87 I'm ok thanks! I'm having a morning of stress, as we are having so many issues with our solicitor re: our house move, that we have decided today to sack them off and change solicitors. Ahh the joy! Not got much planned other than doing washing and cleaning, and then my nephews birthday party tomorrow. bloody hell woman, are you gonna do tonight and tomorrow then? get on it :D

@Crossfitgirl I would say he is fairly healthy, his BMI is in the healthy section, he doesn't eat overly healthily though (bit like me) but he doesn't smoke, doesn't drink a lot (and I asked him not to drink while ttc). So all in all, not a health freak but not in healthy as such. Hope that helps!

@lov3rosie comisserations on AF, heres to a new cycle starting. It's the first day of autumn I think today isn't it? or something.

@Crossfitgirl first day of ber season and official start date of fall. Sun is shining bright outside so might do some gardening which I've been postponing for a week now.

As soon as I'd seen my red stain, it was a breather and rush of possibilities for June baby/ies came in. If, God willing, we'll conceive this cycle - having them in June will be in time for our wedding anniversary. Best present ever, I'd say. Fx crossed. Then I jumped into my 6-month maternity leave and it will be in time to attend my parents' 40th wedding anniversary in November and who knows? I may be able to negotiate to just go back work by January 2020 so I can still spend Christmas with families. Got it all planned out. 🤩☺

Ovulation day is on 22nd - I'd make sure DH is not on work travels. Ha ha ha.

Last month's cycle (being our first proper TTC) has been eye opener for me and I really learned loooooads.

So just told DH I got my period. He's like "So, are ye going to be hormonal and emotional for the next 7 days?" I almost threw him a cushion! 😅 (Actually he was the one who threw me a cushion whilst I am writing my comment)

@TBay I’m having the same problem, I’ve been on hormonal contraceptives for over 10 years so I don’t know what ‘normal’ pms symptoms are!

@stormtrooperjulian @TBay I was on microgynon for 15 years. I came off in November and my cycles have been 28/30 days since. It was a real eye opener for me though - I had no idea I would get ovulation cramps or pms at all! I'm just turning 32 and had absolutely no idea my body did such strange things every 2 weeks! I googled (and still do!) every cramp and twinge.

Hello to all the newbies and welcome! @delilah7 hope you’re ok and you get some answers with your dad. We’re in a similar situation, had a great time on holiday and day we got back found out father in law has cancer. So total crash back to reality. He’s had an MRI scan and biposy and now just waiting for the results. Always think the worst possible situation because I’m a stresshead haha so feeling your pain right now! @crossfitgirl I’m out for a hen do tonight and probably hungrover tommorow and feeling sorry for myself as I’m back at work after having the glorious six weeks off. Mentally preparing myself for all of my colleagues asking if I’m pregnant when they are my post holiday stomach haha! Very annoying as from the second we got married last year that is all anyone has asked. When are you having a baby? Do all you newlyweds get the same thing? Have you got any nice plans?
@Lov3rosie I do exactly the same and get carried away with myself and work out my maternity plans each month. Glad I’m not the only one. I also secretly browse Pinterest and look for nursery and first Christmas ideas so definately het ahead of myself.
