Aged 32
I've never had troubling conceiving before but the last bubba was 7 years ago, bit nervous, I'm reading everything about ovulating, I know I'm ovulating, we are trying every other day, pregnancy test on Sep 14th, monthly due on the 15th, I'm crossing everything this is OH first bubba. I'm really nervous.

Typical! Day of doctors and I'm getting AF cramps 😂

Morning delilah7, sorry think Iv missed why your in the doctors? Iv had another bfn this morning. I need to keep my mitts out my draw and wait till Monday! 🙈

Crossfitgirl you sound like your having a rough time. Did she make it up to you last night? 3 weeks ago a very dear friend of mine had gone through ivf but her waters went and she had her little angel at 21 weeks and a day. She survived for 4 hours and we got to have a funeral for her but completely understand the guilt. It's all heartbreaking if I'm honest. 💖💖💖

@shelleybear0313 well I hadn't come on my period since the MC. I've had all pregnancy symptoms. I've had sickness too so they wanna make I haven't had an infection. However started bleeding this morning so that's a plus! Xx

@Delilah7 well I bet this will be the only time you're thankful for it! I'm glad she's finally come though and you can put your mind at ease and get back into it this coming month. 🤞🏻 for the Drs for you love.

@shelleybear0313 no, there was no sex :-( he was in a good mood but he didn't initiate, and I couldn't bring myself to. My temp has risen this morning so that was it yesterday. Until next time eh!

Sorry to hear about your friends baby, that is so heartbreaking. It makes you think that so much can go wrong, how lucky those with healthy pregnancies and babies are.

@BabySquid literally the only time I'm going to say wahoo!!! Now to use what SMEP tells you too and take my OPKS at the right time. My gosh is this bleeding pain already though 😂

Crossfitgirl at least he was in a good mood I suppose, but honestly don't think men quite get it. Sorry for the personal question but have you tried to spice things up a little? Not that I can talk much as me and dh has an explosive row last night! 🙈 xxx

Good question, and I don't mind at all! no I haven't - although for me, even just starting to initiate more is a big thing for me, as I'm not that confident. We don't tend to DTD that much normally so initially I just wanted to up the frequency! I have put sexy underwear on a couple of times, that's it!

I have lots of things I could try though. I have a sexy secretary outfit that I haven't worn yet, I also have a schoolgirl outfit that I know he likes, and we have a game called monogomy which has cards in it that tell you how to spice things up (a bit like the chance cards on monopoly) - we haven't played for a long time though. Some of the things on there resulted unexpectedly in some of the best sex we've had! Happy to share if you want?

So this could get interesting but how does everyone else spice it up?

Yay @Delilah7, always the way! Your body has probably relaxed knowing you'll get some answers and sorted itself out! I've come on today too, so we'll be cycle buddies this month lol x

@Crossfitgirl sorry to read that you didn't manage to dtd. DH & me have the same "problem" I guess... we both work crazy long hours and they last thing he usually feels like is that.

Maybe have a chat with him and explain that if he wants this baby as much as he says he does, he needs to do it a bit more. My DH genuinely didn't know basic biology ie what ovulation is, a FW.
Once I explained he was a bit more understanding (he was under the impression we were "trying" but didn't really know what that meant).

@alwaysinjods I did have that chat with him, I have explained the fw, and we only have those few days per month, but he wasn't in the mood and that was that. He didn't know there was still a chance yesterday, as I didn't tell him my OPK messed up. He says he does want a baby though and does want to try. I don't get it - why say absolutely not when you know it's the fertile window then? You just get yourself in the mood don't you.
I'm gonna try explaining it all again. I think either @flapjackered or @daisiesandpeonies said they had to explain it all numerous times before DH actually started to realise.
So maybe I just need to reiterate!

Crossfitgirl that's the one thing me and dh do get right, possibly why he's not under the patio, 4 years later and we still have sex every day.
Iv got a foster daughter who is now happily married but was struggling with the same, dh not that interested. Have you tried some naughty pictures whilst he's in work? Get his imagination running wild a bit in work? If you struggle speaking about each other's fantasies text them. Ask him what he wants and also order him to do what you want. Start off small and work your way up. It's got to be worth a shot. Also starting now should really have him in the mood for next month. It's hard not to get caught up and just having sex for a baby, I think some men struggle with that being the focus. When that changes so do they. Just me experience obviously. 💖xxx

CD1 again, AF the bitch has come a day earlier than expected, which is fine, I'm all ok about it. Back on SMEP though I reckon this month and might chuck some pre seed in for good measure. Decided not to temp as I think that was the worst bit this month and just see what happens. Good luck to everyone else in, really hope you get your positives xx

@MrsR16 I love that about this thread... as soon as you've told DH you need someone else to tell... and we're all on this journey together. I love it. Gives me a nice fuzzy feeling
