We are TTC first baby. Been off the pill for 12 months and have only had 4 periods Confused currently on CD71 and BFN. A lot of close friends are pregnant or have just had babies, really pleased for them but making me more stressed. Help!

@Manny17
Sorry to hear you're having a rubbish time with it.
I too am TTC number 1 since feb but also have long irregular cycles - currently cd39 but longest cycle 58. Starting to think ive not even tried at the right time at all yet.
Have you been to the doctors now its been a year?

Hi! Same boat here, TTC since Jan, had 4 periods in that time, thought it was settling down but I'm now CD78...
Try your GP they will do blood tests to confirm you aren't ovulating. Ive been trying to dtd every other day rather than SMEP, I find I just have no idea when i'm ovulating despite tracking. I know exactly what you mean about friends- its not a competition but its hard to not feel dismayed :S

Same boat- trying since April and only 4 periods since November after coming off the pill. I have been to the doctors for a blood test and an ultrasound as they suspect I have PCOS. I don’t think I do as none of the other symptoms- just irregular periods- but have an appointment next week to hear results. Mega frustrating and finding I’m doing so many pregnancy tests just in case!

Hi ladies, just wanted to let you know I also had irregular and long cycles when ttc no.1. Went to the drs and they weren't convinced I was ovulating and wanted to try clomid. Just before I was about to start it I fell pregnant with ds who is now currently climbing all over me on the living room floor!
It can just suddenly happen so try to stay positive 🙂
In the meantime you can try taking a herb called Agnus Castus which helps to regulate hormones and shorten cycle lengths. Mine could be as long as 76 days but with the AC they were regularly 35 days (+/- a day or two) which was much better and meant I knew roughly when I'd ovulate. It's worth a try 😊 Good luck everyone! X

@BoBo90 thanks for the recommendation - i have thought about agnus before but i just worry as smongst all the good reviews i also see a lot saying it had made things worse. Guessing though that when you are as irregular as us it can't get much worse!
@Seablueeyes good luck with the doctors - let us know how it goes! I spend a fortune on tests too as i never know when af is actually due so keep testing from day 28 onwards. So frustrating
