What's Happening?!?

TTC first baby, cycle 1.

Never had a cycle longer than 27 days in years. I'm now almost on cycle day 31.

Gentle spotting last few days. Using OPKs I'm 12-13 dpo. Likely 13 - two days of blazing positives and apparently you generally calculate from first positive.

Negative FRER.

Any possibility I could be pregnant? Anyone here ever get a later positive on a high sensitivity test?

Early days on TTC journey, but cracking up!

Hi op.

My sister didn't get a positive on any test until about a week after af was due.

You're not out of the game until af shows.

Just a thought, were you on the pill etc before trying? I ask as my first month off the pill was a strange one x

To observe is to change. Have you studied anthropology??

Just because you've never had a longer cycle (that you've noticed) does not mean you won't ever. It's the timing of ovulation within your cycle that determines when af will arrive. You probably simply ovulated later than you 'normally' do in your cycle, and this af will be delayed. It also means you wouldn't get a positive test until later in your cycle too.

A huge number of things can affect when you ovulate: stress, anticipating ttc, diet, heatwave...

There are generally several threads a day on the same issue (and I trot out the same advice), so it's common and you aren't alone.

@Yakadee never on the pill. Your sister's story gives me hope!

@physicskate I've tracked my cycle on an app for 8 years. I know it's possible - just strange.

I'm a medical doctor rather than an anthropologist, but know when I ovulated within a 1 day range. And I checked last month too, so have a good idea of my luteal phase.

No stress. Heat not so bad in Ireland.
Diet unchanged.

I know it's not proof of anything. This is just genuinely out of whack.
