Hi!
I'm just getting started with ttc but would appreciate your advice!

31 ttc cycle 1 first time

Had implant out 3wks, AF next day then using methods and opks so think 3dpo

We have dtd a bit more often but one slight issue is that sex is painful so have some ahem logistical issues!! Tried to get creative but will be very surprised if any sperm survived the non direct route in sorry- graphic!!

We are so used to doing other stuff I'm worried we'll never manage it!! Trying to keep pressure off as that won't help him but I'm keen on focusing on fertile days.

Anyone have similar experience?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Are you saying you don't have PiV sex? In which case it might well be more difficult to conceive.

MyBrexitUnicornDied · 23/08/2018 23:06

Not had the same problem at all. If I’m honest I’m just wondering what the hell the logistical issues are.

  • hung like a cart horse?
  • can’t ejaculate inside you?

I think women very much can get pregnant with a turkey badger type method - so try that.

MyBrexitUnicornDied · 23/08/2018 23:07

Oh crap

Turkey badger = turkey baster

Damn you autocorrect

LastOneDancing · 23/08/2018 23:10

My friends 2 children were both made without PIV sex, but her & her DH we're very practical and used a turkey baster or similar.

If you're dead keen, I think you're more likely to have success this way than moving semen around creatively.

Turkey badger Grin
I'm not sure what your actually talking about ethere. Your not going to get pregnant if your not having piv sex

Beanbean87 · 23/08/2018 23:14

Haha yeah so not much PIV action!
Ok so turkey baster- like syringe?
I think he romanticises it and would want to conceive like that but I am up for giving it a go

Oh I think I understand !!
Your inserting sperm using other methods.
Well I suppose you could get pregnant that way.
But I agree that turkey baster would help it on its way

Beanbean87 · 23/08/2018 23:16

Yep I find penetration can be painful and not too keen but maybe we could try it for the important moment!
Anyway... will have a go!

Have you tried lube? You need to make sure it's a sperm friendly one like pre-seed but just apply loads to both of you and it might make things get in easier! Also I'd suggest you get him worked up right to the point of nearly finishing and then finish inside.

LastOneDancing · 24/08/2018 19:22

@beanbean87 - I had a problem with painful sex - if it's pain around the entrance (I had a bridge of skin) EMLA lidocane cream made a big difference, applied liberally about an hour before. You can get it over the counter.

That might not be the issue but I thought I'd mention it, if there's a chance it helps x

Do you think you might have vaginismus? Help is available on the NHS - mostly talking therapies as it is considered a psychological problem rather than a physical one (although it leads to physical symptoms). It is solvable. Good luck!
