TTC post Nexplanon removal - what to expect?

So, I had my Nexplanon implant removed today, Grin yey! Going to have quite a bit of bruising - took 35 minutes for the doctor to try to remove (with the help of a willing but squeamish receptionist) as it had apparently become attached to some of the fibers in my arm, but it's out and that's the main thing Smile
This was my second implant. While I have been on the implant I have had VERY irregular periods. I have been tracking them more closely since the end of May where I have had 2 cycles lasting 31 and 36 days. However, my most recent cycle has been a bit iffy - I started AF on 30th July, lasting 8 day (6th Aug) but then I had almost continuous spotting until AF came back into full flow on 16th Aug (only 10 days later!! Confused ...
What I'm trying to work out is whether these AFs were one long period... or would they count as 2 separate ones? Would I be best waiting until I have had AF post implant removal so that I have a better idea of my dates? How long did it take others for their cycles to get back to some kind of normal? What have others experienced post Nexplanon removal?

Hey I had my implant out on the 3rd July and had a very short bleed about 4 days later which I think was a kind of breakthrough bleed thing. Then I had my first proper period in 5 years (🎉🎉) about 5 weeks later 😀
We were careful until my first period because I have heard a lot of stories about people getting pregnant that first month but then going on to have a miscarriage and I didn’t want that to happen to us.
Also the only thing I noticed after having it out was I was a tad more active in the bedroom 😀😀

I got mine out and must have released an egg straight away. Was patiently waiting for my first period, but it didn’t arrivebecasie i was pregnant!

Yay! Interesting topic, had mine removed about 2 weeks ago- and am also more active in the bedroom now, ha.

So far no period but appear to have ovulated. Will be interested to read others’ experiences.

Yes, I have read that else where about miscarriages - queried it with my doctor today, she didn't think it was much of an issue, but I'd prefer to be cautious.
So lots of libidos coming back quickly, that's good to hear Grin

Your 'cycles' on the implant are fairly irrelevant and you might find they change radically (length, length of af etc). Many women on these boards also report many 'pregnancy' symptoms post implant despite not being pregnant.

Have fun. Don't put pressure on yourselves. It could take anywhere from a few weeks to a few years.

I had my implant removed on 5th of June. I got my first period on 1st of August and it was completely normal pre implant period. 3 days with heavy flow then 2 days lighter and over.
I've been TTC this month and I am on CD21. I think I ovulated on CD10. I've had a bit of spotting for a few days but I don't know what it means at the moment. I normally have 28 day cycle so I'm hoping for the best!
