OPKs and Ovia - how to log?

all,

I’ve just used my first ever OPK and I’m unsure if this means ovulation is imminent and how to log the result in Ovia. Since the birth of my DC my cycle has been all over the place. I’m on CD10 and had some red blood along with EWCM, which I thought might be ovulation bleeding (although there is more than just spotting blood) so on a whim bought some OPKs to use. I know that it’s not positive as not as dark as the control line, but there is a line there - does that mean ovulation is coming soon? I’ve just gone to Ovia and the options of Positive, Unclear, Negative, Peak, High, Low are confusing me, so any advice gratefully received!

I of course meant Hi all, not just all Blush

Would be negative. When the line is darker or the same as the control it's a positive. The other options are for Clearblue advanced where they monitor through peak/low and high results x

I would re test in a couple of hours and again tomorrow as I normally get lines like this that then gradually get darker to positive

Id log that as negative. Sometimes I don't log every day , I wait until I know I've had a positive and then I log all the negatives as well as the positive.

The high, low, peak etc all refer to digital ovulation tests. Since you're using the strips you only have to put positive or negative. You don't have to select any of the other options . I asked this recently too cos I had no idea what that means either haha . And that's what I was told .
But yes that looks like you're probably going to ovulate in a couple days time . Test twice a day if you aren't already, best to do one in the afternoon and one in the evening, so you don't miss the surge

Hope that helps!

Thank you, that makes sense about how to log it now you’ve explained! If I’m testing twice a day, is there a time period I need to wait between testing?

@BowlofLemons leave 4 hours between and try and limit how much you drink between those hours. I test at 10 and 2 when I'm nearing ovulation and if it's nearly there again at 6, because I'm an OPK obsessive. When I'm not getting darker it's just once at 2

Thank you sunshine! As I say, I bought on a whim, but fear this may quickly become an obsession 🙈

@BowlofLemons it does become a bit like that 🙈
