Hi, has anyone ever used the pill to get things going? I had a mc in may this year and havent ovulated since. I also dont take periods at all! I remember being on the pill and half way through the cycle i would always get sore boobs and cm and then a break through bleed after 28 days .. i was wondering what if i took the pill again for one cycle do you think it would kick start things for me??

Highly doubtful. The pill mimics processes that your body does, so it doesn't mean your body will start to ovulate. That's why many women find their cycles are irregular after coming off as their bodies aren't used the have no to do all the processes...

Have you been to the gp?

I've heard of this before. I would go see your doctor first but I know taking the pill regulates your cycle and therefore for those with PCOS they are sometimes asked to use the pill for a couple of months to regulate and then come off it again. But I would check with a GP first

What about norethisterone? You can buy it online to delay your period and it is basically just a big dose of synthetic progesterone. I think if you take it for 5 days or so then stop the drop in hormone forces a withdrawal bleed. Things might pick up after that? I just want to say that I have no idea how medically sound that advice is however and it is probably better to see your gp.

yes i have been to my gp. They are the most unhelp people you will ever meet just tells me to go away and keep trying :/ but i have been monitoring my bbt for 3 cycles now and havent even had a glimmer of ovulation. I googled this last night and some people said on a different forum that it worked for them but wasnt a permanent fix if you get me.
I would be afraid to by things of the net, i wouldnt be afraid of completly messing things up for myself xx

It not really buying it per say, it's from an online pharmacy and you have to fill out a load of forms that a Dr checks over before it's privately prescribed to you (did it once to delay period for a holiday) because appointments at my Dr's are like gold dust!

I understand your concerns though, hopefully things will pick up on their own accord soon, it's only been three months or so, so your body might need the rest. It's horrible waiting after a miscarriage to try again, I feel your frustration x
