Short periods and TTC

Hi all, just wondering if anyone had any experience of successfully becoming pregnant and staying pregnant with short periods. We have been trying since July 17 and have had 2 miscarriages in that time but I am worried because since I stopped the pill my periods only last maybe 1 1/2 to 2 days heavy flow and then just goes straight to spotting for maybe another day so only around 3 days in total. I am worried that this means my lining in too thin and also possibly why I have miscarried twice. I did try drinking Pom juice as heard this helped and last month my period was slightly longer but I didn’t drink that this month so might try that again but just wondered if anyone had any experience? Thanks x

I had even shorter periods than you and successfully conceived, carried to term, totally uneventful pregnancy aged 41. I had a second pregnancy too (sadly ended in a silent miscarriage at 9 weeks but at 12 weeks my body was still holding onto it- whatever went wrong I don't suppose it was a lining problem). I think short periods are nothing to worry about. It's more important that they're regular and that your luteal phase (between ovulation and period) is long enough.

Also- sorry about your miscarriages. It's a horrible thing to happen.
