AF due tomorrow...

And I had no idea how nervous this would make me! I'm told I'm thought of as a fairly calm person.

Cycle one, only 9-10 dpo. (Used OPK.) Regular 27 day cycle.

Negative FRER, but that's common enough at 9 dpo.

I know it means nothing if it doesn't happen first time. And because of an injury we just inseminated me with syringes 9 times during fertile time.

I even got some coenzyme q10 and clearblue digital opks for next month and sort of looking forward to trying those.

BUT I'M CRACKING UP!

Anyone relate?

I think we all do 😂
I went into TTC (once for DS and TTC#2 now) with a very chilled out attitude. What happens will happen, so what if it takes a few months.
3 days later I'm up the chemist getting OPKs so i know what's happening with my body. I'm on CD21 and roughly 8dpo. I've already ordered another 100 OPK, 5 pregnancy tests and a thermometer to check my BBT.
Both times I was obsessed within a few days. I'm only really in cycle 1 after having my implant out.
I said I wasn't going to be symptom spotting and googling everything, but I had some spotting this morning which I can't ignore and has had me googling implantation bleeding. I'm normally regular with a 28 day cycle but who knows after still suffering the after effects of the implant 🙄
Fingers crossed you get the result you want 🤞🏻

Nice to see I'm not alone. The bit that baffles me is how cool I was about trying going in and how tunnel-visioned I've become not to mention the watching OBEM and crying.

I can totally relate!

I'm 12dpo on my first cycle trying and a bfn on a FRER this morning. AF due on tues or thurs. I just know it's not happening this month & I'm absolutely gutted, which I know is ridiculous. I can't believe what an emotional rollercoaster this is.

MsHopey · 19/08/2018 11:34

All of it is so weird. And it doesn't change.
I had a c section with DS, it wasn't an emergency so I was waiting in an adjoining room next to the theatre and getting my IV put in.
I heard someone's baby being born, almost silence, and then a baby crying, I cried for about 20 minutes 😂
I didn't cry when my DS was born, I was too busy making sure he was perfect!
I read every pregnancy book I could find, googled every symptom I had throughout the pregnancy, googled everything about birth and statistics.
I just can't keep a cool head about any of it, no matter how much good intentions I have before I start!
Hopefully we both her BFPs fairly quickly so we can move onto the next stage of worrying 😂

ValidUser · 19/08/2018 11:34

@HelloBrass but the thing is you're not out yet! FRERs are better for no evaps, but by no means are they perfect.

AF due tomorrow...

I've found my people!

(I've also found my people over on The Litter Tray.)

@ValidUser haha! It's so nice to have a space to sound off in, isn't it.

Thanks for the stats. I'm going to (try to) wait until next Friday before testing again, but I'm sure AF will arrive in the meantime.

Hoping cycle 2 I'll be a bit calmer

P.S it was a pampers advert which got me yesterday!

ValidUser · 19/08/2018 11:45

@HelloBrass been there...

OP posts:
MsHopey · 19/08/2018 11:48

Both those photos on statistics are very interesting tbf.
I better suck it up and try and wait another week before I do a test 😫
Do either of you have any symptoms?

ValidUser · 19/08/2018 11:51

I've had a uti and thrush, so I've been vomiting but may just be the antibiotics.

My boobs are hilariously ticklish. And I'm normally miserable with pms, and I had that misery during the week, but actually feel ok mood wise now.

And I'm farting like a spinach-eating truck driver. Thought you'd all like to know.

OP posts:
MsHopey · 19/08/2018 11:55

I've been gassy but have been pretty crappy diet wise so could easily be the food I've been eating.
I'm tired, but I have a one year old who has never slept through the night and still wakes up at least 5 times 😂
And got my spotting today, I'm with having a 21 day cycle and my period is starting or it's implantation bleeding which is quite rare but I had spotting up until I was 12 weeks pregnant with DS but never in the middle of a normal cycle like this.

ValidUser · 19/08/2018 11:55

(For the record I know I'm not on the antibiotics for thrush, just painting a lovely graphic picture.)

No symptoms at all until I had cramps from Thursday. Got my hopes up that it was implantation cramps, until I read there was no such thing!

PMS symptoms hit me like a train yesterday. Trouble is, early symptoms of pregnancy are basically the same as PMS. Logic is telling me that if mine are early pregnancy then a test should be picking up at least a faint line.
I've read on here so many times "if you're pregnant enough for symptoms, you're pregnant enough for a positive test".

As @ValidUser says though, tests aren't 100% accurate at this stage so I'm just going to (impatiently!) wait for AF.

I haven't started spotting yet which is usually my first indicator that AF is on her way, so I'm keeping a very tentative finger crossed. Just the one though! Grin

MsHopey · 19/08/2018 12:02

How annoying is is that period symptoms and pregnancy symptoms are basically the bloody same?!? Nothing like trying to trick and confuse us every month!!!

ValidUser · 19/08/2018 12:03

Re symptoms and tests, though, it can't be black and white, I don't think. (Full disclosure: Doctor here, but not a gynae.)

Some women are more sensitive to HCG than others. Theoretically a level of 5 (below a FRER) could impact on some.

MsHopey · 19/08/2018 12:11

I symptom spotted most months when trying for DS. But we was moving house on cycle#4, so I was really busy and hadn't thought much of anything.
Late period and I was pregnant, morning sickness didn't start till week 6. So I'm guessing I'm not much of symptom pregnancy person.
But time will tell 🤞🏻

HelloBrass · 19/08/2018 12:13

I can be guilty of black & white thinking, so that's really helpful!

I keep looking for signs which mean definitely "yes" or definitely "no", but I know I've just got to sit it out for a few more days. Doesn't make it easier though!

HelloBrass · 19/08/2018 12:18

There's lots of stories like that @MsHopey - distracted/relaxed one cycle and it happens.

I also think it's v interesting about sensitivity to symptoms. We can be guilty on here of comparing our experiences to others, when there's probably little helpful comparison to be made. It's great to be able to talk & share though. I think that's invaluable.

MsHopey · 19/08/2018 12:24

It's so hard. I've got 8 days until my period which means there's not much point in testing yet. Already been checking prices of the first response tests Blush I just have no patience at all.
I hate the wait.
