Positive then negative....losing the plot

6 days late. Tested 2 days ago with CB digital - pregnant 1-2 weeks so super happy. Then did a cheap one, negative....then waited until the next morning and got a positive 1-2 weeks with the other CB one in the morning. OH said get more tests and we’ll look at lunchtime (he works nights) so got another CB digital positive 1-2 and a FR which gave a very faint line.
All still happy.
Being neurotic I then did another one in the evening but that was negative. Cue more shopping to test in the morning....
Woke up desperate to pee at 4am and did 3 tests (cheap one, CB and FR). All negative.
Had one test left so at 7am did that one - still negative.

I know I need to step away from the tests but my boobs are tender (which they never usually are in a normal cycle) and still no sign of AF.

Can anyone settle my mind or have I lost my marbles?!

Perhaps wait a few days? You don’t get false positives so you are either pregnant or were pregnant. Unfortunately only time will tell so now it’s the waiting game!

I got a false positive on a digital test before. Like any thing digital, it can sometimes be faulty. However it's unlikely to get a false positive on a Line test (I've forgot the name )

It's very unlikely you'll get multiple false positives on different tests.

I’m now getting really horrible pains on the right side an inch in and an inch down from my hip bone after dull aching all afternoon. Guess this one wasn’t mean to be 😔

I’m sorry to hear that. How is the pain you were having? I’m a little worried the symptoms you are describing might be an ectopic pregnancy- esp on off bleeding and pain. Please keep an eye on it an see the gp if you have any concerns.

I had the same thought and called 111. They made me a hospital appointment this morning and I spoke to the doctor there. He poked and prodded me and did a urine test which was negative. Still bleeding so guessing that’s my period making a super late appearance.
Doctor did say he sees an awful lot of women who have had the same experience- CB says ‘pregnant’ then pain and bleeding and a negative test.
Not going to do the CB tests in future - think it was maybe too sensitive and I’d rather not know when it’s still a maybe. Far too upsetting to be all super happy and then this.

I'm sorry you've been through this OP, similar happened to me recently - a chemical pregnancy that gave faint positive test results on the urine sticks - got all excited but when I went for a blood test it showed my HCG levels weren't high enough for it to be a viable pregnancy and i got my period about a week later.

Apparently it's very common and a lot of women don't even realise they are pregnant.

Take it easy, you might feel fragile for a little while
