When you are pregnant, when do you tell the children? Just curious.

When I became pregnant with my 2nd dc my 1st was 11 months, so I never really told her. When my belly grew big, I pointed and said baby. I read the baby books etc to try and prepare her and hope she would understand. But now my kids are 4 and 6 and I am wondering when and how I would tell them.

Please share how you told your dc if you have a bigger gap then 3 years. Of course you can share smaller age gaps as well. But I am curious for the older dc.

My daughter was 4 when I fell pregnant with my second . She had been asking for a baby for forever! Always making wishes for a sister when she seen stars etc

We told her after our 12 week scan because we wanted to tell her before we told anyone else. I sat her down and said I have a surprise for you, your wish has come true! and she knew straight away what I meant. She was so excited, we went shopping and she chose a toy for the baby. It was so sweet !
