Irregular Cycles - HELP

Hi all

Ive been off the pill since March and actively TTC for 4 months. Iam 30 my partner is 31.
Im taking folic acid, vitamin b6 and evening primrose.
I'm using OPKs, have had two positives both on CD 19, but with irregular cycles, I don't think im testing early enough!!

My cycle lengths have been as follows:
28
31
27
32
24
I was so excited to test on Saturday, but with AF showing this morning, a week earlier than expected, im out this month!!
Has anyone with a cycle pattern as above still got their BFP?
Do I need to seek medical help?
Are there any supplements for regulating cycles at all?
I understand that 4 months TTC is still very early days in the whole journey, it just seems so easy for everyone around me, and I end up with negatives!
Any help or advice, or just a chat will be lovely, thank you all xx

You would only just be considered irregular (not massively so) as you have a range of 8 days. Most hcp would argue it's because your body is still adjusting post-pill.

I think give it 6 more months at least. You could try agnus castus as it's often used for normalising cycle lengths.

I had massively irregular cycles; some months I didn’t have a period at all and other months I had 40 day plus ones. I used the app Clue to start tracking everything and in the end decided to try every time I got a positive on an OPK. I was pregnant within 7 months of trying and within 3 months of tracking.

Thank you both very much for your replies!
I have just looked up Agnus Castus and it looks like a good option from reading the reviews!!
I track my cycles with Ovia, maybe i'll try Clue too, cant hurt to use more than one!!
Just ordered another box of OPKs - time to stop dwelling on AF and look forward to another TTC month!!

Good luck. Yes I couldn’t rely on AF to help but the OPK I think was what helped most.

Could you try temping? Then you'd know when you ovulate and have a better idea when to expect your period (the number of days between ovulation and your period is generally consistent, it's the number of days between your period and next ovulation which causes the variation iyswim).

You could download the 'clue' app. As far as I know you track your dates and it helps find some sort of pattern/ predictability

Personally I wouldn't consider those cycles to be irregular (I'd be over the moon if mine were like that) My shortest was 29 days and longest 76 and I still managed to conceive twice (1mc) within 14 months. If you don't want to dtd every other day through the whole cycle then tracking is key.
I would expect you to ov earlier than cd 19. When you had the two positives on cd 19 what length were your cycles? If you can work out your lp length then you can work out when you ov'd on the other cycles and get a better idea of when to test/dtd
Do you have other noticeable symptoms like ewcm?
Considering you've just come off the pill your cycle lengths are very good and will settle down 🙂 Don't worry about seeing the gp until nearer the 1 year ttc mark

Mine were like yours but maybe more like 28-35 days, I started taking Maca capsules and now they are clockwork 28 days and I O on CD14. Everyone’s body is different but give them a try! And like PP said Agnus Castus but I stopped taking that as it gave me bad side effects like nausea and dizziness so I’ve stuck with my good old Maca!
