Is this positive?...

Hi

Did a £1 test from asda and got a really faint second line. Then did a clear blue a couple of hours later (after drinking water and coffee) and it was negative. Not due on my period until Sunday. Do we think it's positive or am I seeing things?

Could be just too diluted to show up on the second test so early on. Take a test with FMU tomorrow morning and see if there’s a line.

Hi OP, I think your account needs to have been opened for 48 hours before you can post photos.

If you are pregnant, then it's early and that could explain why a test taken after drinking a lot and without holding urine for a few hours or using FMU would not show positive.

If you really can't wait til tomorrow, I'd suggest don't overdo the drinking liquid and try not to wee for a few hours then take the test again. Also, make sure it's a regular pink dye test not a digital one as they're more sensitive.

In that picture, that second line looks a little flooded to me. Does it look kind of blurry and not sharp in real life?

Usually I'd say a line is a line is a line, but I'd hate to get your hopes up unnecessarily.

Can you not get to a shop? Just buy a couple and retest before tonight? X

Yeah it's a bit blurred. Not Sharp like the other. I did a clear blue digital which said not pregnant so not sure what to think. That was after a few drinks though x

Go to a shop and buy a first response. That should give you a clear answer in time for tonight!

Just tried a first response and it's negative so maybe the one this morning wasn't accurate...x

Your urine is more concentrated in the morning so is the best time to test.

Did two tests this morning. First response was negative, Asda had a blurred second line again. The Asda tests were in the same pack so wondering if they're faulty... AF is due Sunday so just going to wait and see what happens x

If both the Asda ones have done the same thing and a FR was negative, then I'm really sorry but I would assume they were faulty.

Still, you're not out yet OP, and it's still early. I hope you get the answer you want.
