Trying but not trying

Is this a thing!? As I think it's what I am doing as silly as I sound.

Urgh it's been so long, I have a DS aged 9 so if I do fall pregnant there will be a 10 year gap.

I'm terrified of the thought of birth, literally anxiety through the roof at the mere thought, Even though I've already done it and it was ok - it wasn't traumatic.

I also would love to have another baby as would my partner although this would be our first child together.

Anyone else trying but not trying? Anyone else have a big age gap? Xx

We were in a similar place a few years back, we stopped trying to avoid pregnancy but we weren't tracking at all "just seeing what happened for a while". I was pregnant after the first month.

Dh had a son already who lives with us full time, so we have an 8 year gap and it has worked out really well, they adore each other. Obviously there are certain things that dss likes to do that are hard with a toddler about but we make sure to fit them in when ds naps

Wow that was quick Mesje! How long was on you contraception before coming off? Was it the pill?

Aww thank you for your reply so lovely to hear it all is going so well regardless of age gap xx

I had been on the pill for a few years, then I came off of it in the January because I had migraines. I got my bfp in the April but we hadn't tried at all before that

I'm having my coil taken out today due to it making me have really heavy painful periods. We were planning to start trying in about 6 months but if it happens before then, it happens. So we're not actively trying, but not preventing either.
