Should I cancel my hot yoga class? WWYD?

I booked a 1 week pass to try hot yoga, before realising it's not advised when pregnant and not really when TTC because of the heat (37 degrees celsius).

I'm due my period on Thursday. I'm thinking to just go anyway, we've been TTC for over 6 months with no luck so unlikely to be pregnant anyway. The annoying thing if I don't go until my period comes I miss basically the entire week of classes that I've paid for! :(

WWYD?

I’d go because I can’t see what it could possibly harm when you will be only just past implantation:)

Thanks @llanali

I read somewhere online that it can affect egg quality and the implantation process.

Is this your first time?

Djnoun · 13/08/2018 17:47

If so, you will be fine. But make sure you are very well hydrated and have eaten decently that day.

Hiya @Djnoun

It's my first time, also a beginner at yoga, so think it will be quite intense. Thanks for the advice :)

Yoga can be easier in hot temperatures as you are more flexible. If you can, head in ten minutes early and lie on your map to acclimatise. 37 degrees isn't the worst, actually. I do bikram in 45 degrees, which is horrible!

Omg so I went to hot yoga last night, took a test this morning and.... im pregnant! Hope the heat didn’t cause any damage. I’m 12dpo.

Congratulations!!

I'm sure the heat didn't hurt. It's that temperature every day in lots of countries, after all.

Now maybe pregnancy yoga classes? Smile

Congratulations and you will be fine, don't worry Thanks

BooksandBrie · 14/08/2018 14:29

Thanks both! Good point about it being that temperature everyday in some countries. I’m sure once won’t hurt. It didn’t actually feel that hot in there, more steamy than anything :)
