@gjchapman month 1 here!

Toto19 · 14/08/2018 11:10

@gjchapman you sound like you've been ttc the same time as me. Since Christmas but cycles started to be regular around March. Ttc from then and nothing...I know people have been trying much longer but I'm getting to the point where I'm thinking what's wrong with me?

Chivari · 14/08/2018 11:14

@gjchapman thanks! We only started TTC this month so it is our first month. AF was due 2 nearly 3 days ago but still nothing yet. Not even the signs.... waiting a few more days to do a test. Fingers crossed it is a BFP but somehow I think it won't be and my late AF is because my hormones are all over the place.

Hoping you get a BFP soon xx

gjchapman · 14/08/2018 11:15

@toto19 I’m exactly the same I said to my DH that if we haven’t managed by Christmas, then we need to go to the doctors. I know it can take longer than a year but if I’m ovulation then surly something isn’t right?! How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? And what pill were you on?

Toto19 · 14/08/2018 11:27

@gjchapman I'm 26, was on cerazette before. It didn't take as long as I've heard others to get regular cycles though when I came off it. Do you use ovulation tests as I tend to give up with them when I seem to not be getting a positive. I asked at the doctors when I was there for something else and he said if you are having regular cycles it pretty much indicates you are ovulating each month so he said come back in Nov and go from there..... it's just that moment when you get af each month and having a little cry. It's hard to stay positive isn't it? Xx

gjchapman · 14/08/2018 11:38

@toto19 I was on Cerelle which I believe is to be near enough the same as yours. I got my withdrawal blead within a week so I though yey its all working, but then no ovulation for a while. I use the app Flo which I've managed to track my ovulation to between 6-8 days after AF so then I use the ovulation test around day 7 and normally get a positive result. I know exactly how you feel, I wasn't well last week and I was thinking omg I could be pregnant but now I feel fine so I'm just waiting for the dreaded moment again :( its very hard to stay positive and all the people that say don't stress it'll come when you don't expect it to, how can It come when I least expect it to when I'm trying for a baby! makes me angry! (sorry rant over!)

cupcakesandglitter · 14/08/2018 11:47

Hi can I join? 🤗 I'm 23 and started TTC for our first this month :) xx

Delilah7 · 14/08/2018 11:55

@cupcakesandglitter I'm 23 too. Been trying since May :) xxx

Toto19 · 14/08/2018 11:57

@gjchapman how does the flo app work? I'm using ovia but it seems to just be guess work. I've dtd at the right times according to that but nothing haha! I'm feeling exactly the same, it's so hard to relax and not think about it :( I'm due af today and getting cramps so it's coming! xx

ValidUser · 14/08/2018 11:59

Welcome @cupcakesandglitter!

I use both Flo and Ovia. They seem to be telling me roughly the same thing. I prefer Ovia, but I think I just prefer the article content and layout.

gjchapman · 14/08/2018 12:12

@toto19 you entre when AF starts and finished and it works it out from your month to month cycle. since I became regular its become more accurate. you can also entre if you have a positive ovulation test and then it makes it even more accurate. You can also log other stuff like headaches, craps etc and then it work out patterns. I suffer from migraines and it has worked out that they are time of the month related.

@cupcakesandglitter! hello

I'll have a look at ovia not heard of it

Delilah7 · 14/08/2018 12:19

@gjchapman @Toto19 I fell pregnant just by using flo app so it does work :)

gjchapman · 14/08/2018 12:46

@delilah7 that's good to know :) how long were you trying?

purplestar9 · 14/08/2018 13:19

So I've got an odd one for you, I thought I ovulated on Friday (this was based on CM and temp, but I had just started temping a few days before) but today I am having light cramps and (tmi) a lot of EWCM (a big bit when I went to the loo). So I'm now guessing I can't rely on the temps due to only just starting it and ovulation is actually today! But of course DH isn't feeling 100% today so he's not sure if he's up to DTD later (although I think he's more nervous about my hospital app than I am!). I'm hoping he's more up for it later cause I don't want to miss an opportunity like this! We DTD on Friday and Saturday so even if we can't today then we may still have just caught it?

cupcakesandglitter · 14/08/2018 13:26

Hi @Delilah7 ! It's so nice to see people my age - get told I'm too young a lot of the time 😂

I use Flo too! @Delilah7 were you temping etc? I've given up with OPKs and temping, I'm just trying to put in my symptoms every month and take it from there... no idea if flo is accurate though x

purplestar9 · 14/08/2018 13:27

Also, I was using Flo to begin with but when I changed my cycle length it didn't update properly so I started using Ovia, I find this a little more accurate to be honest, it'll update your fertile period in line with the information you put in which I find to be good!

cupcakesandglitter · 14/08/2018 13:27

@purplestar9 sorry I don't really know too much about temping, but maybe try and get DH to DTD tonight just to be safe? Xx

Delilah7 · 14/08/2018 13:41

@gjchapman I fell on my 3rd cycle.

@purplestar9 I'd say that it might still catch it Hun! Keep positive.

@cupcakesandglitter I've never tempted Hun. I've just put in my periods as and when they were and put my miscarriage as a period and it's updated exactly when my ovulation pains came. I trust it as I fell pregnant with it without anything else! Xx

cupcakesandglitter · 14/08/2018 14:01

@Delilah7 third cycle! That's amazing 😊 I get really worried that I won't fall pregnant easily and I think that doesn't help at all 😭

That's good to know though, hopefully it'll be the same for me! I had ov pains a couple of days ago I think, but I've also had suuuuuper sensitive boobs and my lower stomach is really tender. No idea what's going on 🤷🏻‍♀️

Delilah7 · 14/08/2018 14:01

@cupcakesandglitter you never know! Unfortunately I miscarried but nice to know I can get pregnant! 😘

RobynC19 · 14/08/2018 14:13

So after coming off the pill having a withdrawal bleed I had to wait a cracking 75 days till I started bleeding it was pretty light and lasted 6 days (does this now count as my official natural period) by the way I started bleeding the day before my wedding nice gift to my self. I'm now on cycle 2 and on cd11 I'm on honey moon so no idea when I'm ovulating all I no I have been baby dancing for the last 7 days straight so here is hoping. Fingers crossed if I don't fall this month it isn't another massive cycle

I'm 26
Cycle 2
CD 11

gjchapman · 14/08/2018 14:20

Hi @Robync19, sounds like your first natural bleed but doesn't mean your ovulating yet :( think it was two months after I bled naturally before I started to ovulate, but everyone is different so fingers crossed for you. congratulations on getting married :)

RobynC19 · 14/08/2018 14:22

Thank you hopefully if nothing else my cycle with shorten 75 days is a long wait x

Bettyhop · 14/08/2018 14:30

Am I imagining this or could it be true!?
