Best ttc app?

I've been using natural cycles since last sept, first to track my cycle after coming off the implant and then to ttc.

I've found it fine, and like some features like how you can see a temp graph over time of all your cycles and how it highlights your peak fertility days very clearly, but I think it could have more functionality to log CM and symptoms.

My subscription is about to end and I don't think it's worth the £40 p/a when there are so many free apps out there, so would like to switch.

Which is your favourite ttc app? And why?

Ovia worked for me. I got pregnant on my second cycle using it after coming off the implant and it's free.

I second Ovia! Great for tracking, worked for me and they also have pregnancy and parenting apps which are fabulous!

MrsReader · 10/08/2018 16:23

I'm using 3 atm lol. Flo, Clue and Ovia. I agree with pp about Ovia- it has options to add whether you did an ovulation or pregnancy test, which is helpful

Tried a few... Suggest try a couple at once for a month or so to see which one picks up your cycle best. Liked the interface of Clue but no BBT graph so not good for ttc. Flo ok but had to 'edit' period to say you had started a day earlier, bit annoying. Didn't like ovia sorry pp, totally off on my cycle prediction. Glow is good but some elements not user friendly and message boards v American-focussed. The one I am sticking with is Fertility friend, the interface is not as slick as the others but I like all the data (that's just me tho, I have actually paid for the extra bits for a few months! Free app does what you need however) Most importantly is pretty much bob on for predicting my period, can log all the things you want to log.

MushroomMushroom · 10/08/2018 19:31

I second Fertility Friend too. Like pp said it's not as pretty as the other apps but it is more accurate (I think anyway)

8DaysAWeek · 10/08/2018 20:57

Definitely fertility friend for the nitty gritty charting.

Then I use ovia cos I like when it says "you had sex today. Good job!" 😂

5tarlight · 10/08/2018 21:13

@8daysaweek, oh really!? In that case maybe I should have stuck with it! 😂

8DaysAWeek · 10/08/2018 21:15

Yeah it's cycle prediction was a bit off to begin with but I'm on cycle 5 and it's actually pretty spot on this cycle weirdly enough. Last night I got "you had sex! Here's hoping you made a baby!" I get weirdly excited about crap like that haha but ultimately FF is much much better for actually tracking and predicting O.

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/08/2018 22:10

I use ovia too, I haven't tried any others to be fair, but I used Ovia for my last TTC, then used the Ovia pregnancy once I'd conceived!

GiraffeObsessedBaby · 10/08/2018 22:28

I started with ovia but I preferred the huge range of information tips advice and scope of tracking in the fertility friend app. But I am one of those people who much prefer an information overload and to research everything to the nth degree lol

8DaysAWeek · 10/08/2018 22:36

Same giraffe!

I loved the ovia pregnancy app

GiraffeObsessedBaby · 10/08/2018 22:40

@8DaysAWeek I have to admit to stalking the similar graph database in FF every month once I was past ovulation! But it did help me pinpoint quite a few issues with my fertility that I was able to focus on improving. Not for everyone I know as when I talked to my mum (like my best mate) about it she was totally freaked out lol she's one of life's happier when clueless people!
