The disappearing line

AF is 3 days late. Boobs and back hurt. Had some weird twinges. So decided to do a test. Didn't use fMU so tried just after lunch. I dipped my FRER in the urine sample for the 5 seconds and something happened I've never notice ld before and I'm confused. As I laid it flat and watched the urine absorb, a flash of pink dye appeared and highlighted as a positive test line, then as it reached the control line, which developed, it disappeared and a stark white line appeared and that went on to danish completely.

Did I get a dud test?
A positive and the urine wasn't strong enough for the dye to hold?

I'm sooo confused

That's just the dye moving across the test unfortunately. It gives you a glimmer of hope and then disappears.
You might have implanted late and be too early for a hpt to pick it up yet so test again with fmu if af doesn't show! Good luck

Thanks @BoBo90 I've never seen the dye move before

I now tell myself not to look at FRERs after I've dipped. Those first few seconds get the heart racing, all for nothing!!

I've got another to try in the morning. Not holding out much hope

Ive never used a FRER but this happened to me on a cheapy two days in a row (looked like it was catching on the test line but then would disappear) I then got a BFP on the 3rd day.
Could just be a co-incidence that I got a BFP after that but I definitely noticed it! X
