Opk newbie - when do the lines get darker ?

I'm fairly new to OPKs. Last time we TTC we fell pregnant first try (extremely lucky I know). My periods have been pretty regular, usually 28 days although I was 4 days late last month so 32 day cycle .

So this month is my first month doing OPK's. I'm on CD15,. I started testing a few days ago as I was sure I ovulated on day 14/15. So far the lines aren't really progressing 🤔 I thought they'd be darker by now (hopefully you can see the photo).

Just wondering when would you expect you'd ovualte on a 28/32 day cycle ? When do people normally start doing OPK's? We aren't even officially trying yet but I wanted to start doing this in advance so I know roughly when I ovulate

Also I've been doing them 2x day, usually 2pm and 6/6.30pm as I've heard these are the best times

Just keep testing. Most people don't get gradually dark.

Opks can be a bit trial and error.

Oh don't they ? I thought that was normal for it to get gradually darker 🙈 I'll just keep going with it then , thanks
