Exactly that.. should I stop at the end of a packet? Or can I stop taking it anytime through a packet? What difference will it make, if any?

I'd just stop taking it

If you just want to stop it altogether then stop it altogether. You will have a withdrawal bleed at any point if you stop taking it. Eventually you're cycle will find it's natural rhythm again.

Just stop taking it. You can become fertile immediately after stopping, so only stop if you want to get pregnant.

I finished at the end of a pack, but that’s because I couldn’t stand the thought of a few pills being left!

I don’t know if it would have been different otherwise, but I got my withdrawal bleed 4 days after stopping, then had a 26 day cycle and got pregnant the cycle afterwards.
