After browsing the conception forum, it seems ovulation varies massively! It makes me wonder how many people actually ovulate 14 days before next cycle?

What's everyones experience with ovulation? Smile

Usually day 11 for me. On a 28 day cycle.

I ovulate 14 days before next cycle, it's just that I don't ovulate 14 days after the cycle began. It's the bit before ovulation that changes in length for me and most people I would have thought. The Luteal phase (ovulation to next period) is on average 12-14 days for most people.

Agree with @susurration.

Remember: days past ovulation (your luteal phase) is counted from the day after ovulation and a positive opk generally happens the day before ovulation (-1 dpo). I would then get to 14 dpo and the next day would be cycle day 1 because my period would start.

It is highly unusual to have a luteal phase shorter than 10 days or longer than 16.

Anywhere from day 10 to day 14. Cycles vary 24-28 days. Period is always 14 days after I ovulate
