Help I feel so confused and broken!

So I found out I was pregnant then I started bleeding went to hospital they told me to go home and that it will be a miscarriage! Yet I’ve done a pregnancy test a week after the bleeding and the line is darker I do understand what’s happening I feel so broken and confused 😭

So sorry about your miscarriage, that must be heartbreaking. Unfortunately you may get a positive test up to a couple of weeks after as there will be residual hcg in your urine.

How exactly did they determine it was a miscarriage? Did they check you over, talk to you, scan you?

If you’re less than 6 weeks pregnant the NICE guidelines say that you should take a pregnancy test a week later - if it’s still positive then you should contact the EPU where they should scan you - it may be residual HCG or you may have some tissue left, or it may be that you’re still pregnant - definitely contact the EPU directly or through the GP

No had no checks or scans or tests just told me to take a test within a week but the test has got stronger and the clear blue digital has gone for pregnant 1-2 weeks to pregnant 2-3 weeks! I just don’t understand I’ve got a doctors appointment in the morning but it’s just breaking my heart even more! 😭

I had early bleeding when I miscarried but also had it when I had my son. It does to an extent depend on the type of bleeding as to why they diagnosed a mc.

Look after yourself for now, all you can do is wait. My friend had heavy bleeding at the start of two pregnancies and was told she was miscarrying both times. She wasn't. Good luck x

You def need to see ur gp have some blood tests and then repeat bloods in 2 days to see what the levels are doing and if they are above 1000 (I think?? Nah be 1500) then they are high enough to see something on a scan. I don’t think you can completely say it’s a miscarriage until the further tests have been done. Fingers crossed for u x

Thank you everyone, I’m in to see the gp in the morning so I will let you all know how it goes I still have sickness too, it’s just so hard to not know what’s going on, my mum bled with all her children but I just can’t get my hopes up xx

How heavy was the bleeding? If you have still got a positive test result then you need them to do blood tests to see if the levels are rising or falling and possibly an ultrasound.

Ask your GP to refer you to the nearest Early Pregnancy Unit

Thank you! Hopefully I can get some answers nothing more I’d love than there to be a little healthy baby in there but I’m not gonna get my hopes up just see what happens xxx

Just thought I’d update at midnight last night I got some terrible pains and got taken to hospital got an internal and speculam and dr said everything looked fine and my hormones had gone up so I’m in for a scan tomorrow morning at 10 to see what is going on xxxx

Good luck. How much blood? What sort. I had a haematoma with one which bled lots. Then heavy implantation bleeding with others. All kids now

Best of luck. I know what it feels like. I had heavy bleeding with my third pregnancy having lost the first two.

I was convinced that I had miscarried but my gorgeous 10 year old DD is proof that wasn't the case.

The doctor thought I might have been pregnant with twins and lost one of them.

Hope it all goes well.

IT was like a period but lighter and only lasted 3 days had a bit of pink blood wiping but it’s stopped now, yes someone else mentioned something about twins it was last Wednesday I went with the bleeding and since then my hcg has risen he pressed all over my stomach and said he would be very surprised if it was ectopic, I’ll find out at 10 tomorrow anyway! Very nervous xxx
