Pregnacare Before Conception Tablets causing bleeding

I am still on the combined pill and plan to stop taking when I have finished this packet and start TTC, I had a normal period w/c 16th Aug shortly after that I started taking Pregnacare Before Conception Tablets I’ve taking about 14 Tablets and over the last few days I’ve had a small amount of brown discharge, my next period is due in about 12 days. Has anybody else experienced anything like this? Is it a normal side effect? Or should I go to the doctor?

Do you take them at the same time? I have to take my (unrelated) meds at a different time of day to my pill. Officially there is no known interaction between them and they could be taken together, in reality I get continuous spotting and cramps. The doctor didn't seem shocked and advised that a lot of drug interactions weren't researched.

I take the pill in the morning and the vitamin in the evening

All you need is folic acid and vit d. They come in a combined tablet from boots. They won't give you the reactions.
