Depo

I have been off the depo since june 2017 and my periods are still irregular.
I have a 28 day cycle. Bleed for 5 days have a week off then bleed again and then back round to another 28 day cycle. Why is it taking me so long to regulate.
I have tried vitex and maca.
I don't know if I should try the pill for 2 months but don't know if it will help and don't really like the idea of putting more hormones back in my body.
I'm at my wits end and the doctors aren't much help. They won't do progesterone test as they say that is only done at fertility clinic which me and dh would both have to attend and that's not the road I wanted to go down as I was fine before this damn jab. I know it's not him.
I cry every month. I just want my periods normal. 😢

It took a year for my periods to return after stopping the depo, then another year pretty much exactly before I became pregnant.
From what I had read up on, this seems standard.

Careylisa
Thanks.
Did you take anything to help you along or just let your body sort itself out.

I was the depo for 6 years. Took me near on 18 months for my periods to regulate

I just let my body get back on track naturally. I had read up on others experiences who had tried going on the pill to regulate their periods, but on the whole it seemed to make little difference on speeding up conception with ‘forced’ periods.
