Experiences of small bleeds in early pregnancy and sickness?

Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody has experienced a period like bleed for a short time in early pregnancy?
I thought I had my period not long ago and it was around the time I was due, but it seemed to be quite a short one but I thought nothing of it.
The last week or so I've had really bad nausea and yesterday I was sick when I was in the gym so put this down to exercise but when I've looked back, I've had headaches and light headedness etc.
My brothers wife asked if I could be pregnant but I just can't see it being.

Has anybody had any experience of this at all? Or anything similar?

X

I would take a test. If you are pregnant enough to have symptoms then you'll have enough hcg for a positive test. I think implantation bleeding is a thing and I know several women who had light bleeds during pregnancy (although I didn't personally) so I'm pretty sure it can happen.

@KatnissK thank you for your reply!
I'm so used to getting my hopes up and getting negative tests that I stress myself out about it.

Thank you @KatnissK X

And thank you too @Waitingonasmiley42 , was it around the time of your expected period too?

I had what I assumed was a period bang on time but was in fact pregnant.

You could be pregnant, it could be a bug, could it be the heat? - I know you don’t want to be disappointed by a test, but there is only one way to find out.

CheshEm · 03/08/2018 22:42

@Blondemother how long did it last for?

Well I honestly thought absolutely nothing of it and just put it down to anything but that because I got my 'period'.
Two people have asked if I could be so it's got my brain going!
I think I'm going to give to a few days and then test to see how I feel x

Yes I had this. Had a "period" which was much shorter than normal and never really got going. Was mostly darker blood.

Has a bit of brown spotting off and on for first trimester but all going well at 26 weeks now!

CheshEm · 03/08/2018 23:29

@magpie24 I just feel like mine is just so like my usual it's almost impossible it could be anything else, was maybe a little shorter but I don't think by much.
Trying not to get my hopes up but feeling sceptical! X

cheshem I had been on the pill for ages and periods were short and light, this one was same so didn’t ring any alarm bells - maybe 3 days?

CheshEm · 04/08/2018 09:21

@Blondemother when I look back now, the blood seemed more like light brown discharge on like 3 of the 4 days. I'm going to test this morning to rule it out.
Thanks again! X

@CheshEm I had an implantation bleed around the time I was expecting period. It was very light blood and cramping for about 1 day mainly on wiping. I then had some bleeding at 6 weeks when the placenta started working.

CheshEm · 04/08/2018 09:47

@lennyisnuts I just feel like mine too much like my normal period to be anything more. It was just with other people saying it to me I thought I should test just to rule it out.
I feel sick literally every day!
Congrats though X

@cheshem I had implementation bleeding in all 3 of my pregnancies. Each time they got worse. My last pregnancy it lasted 3 days so I assumed it was my period, it was only 10 days later that I was feeling so so tired, I thought to myself 'I haven't felt this tired since I was pregnant....oh?' I felt ridiculous testing again as clearly I had had a period but it was positive. I had a lot more dark brown blood then usual too, if that helps. Best of luck!!!
