Hi all!
DP and I have been TTC for a few weeks now. I had a non hormonal copper coil in for about 8 years and decided to get it removed on June 20th. My cycle was a bit messed up afterwards so my period came quite late and lasted about 5-6 days (I had a 42 day cycle). I decided to buy a Clearblue ovulation pack and started testing a week or so after the last day of my period. The test kept displaying negative results until the 16th day of this new cycle when I finally got a steady smiley face (LH surge so ovulation due anytime). We BD on CD 12th, 15th and 17th.
Today is CD 18th and we will not be BDing as DP gets home from work very late and will be shattered!
I am 25 y/o, he is 27 and this is our first time TTC so I don't know what to expect- I am hoping that DPs swimmers are fast and that I now have a fertilised egg travelling down my tubes or getting ready for implantation! However, I am also very concerned as I have been doing a lot of googling and have read that ovulation tests can display positive results when AF is due, which means that IF my cycles are still messed up, AF would be due anytime now hence the positive Clearblue OPK?! Although I took another O test the following day and it was negative again... I have also read that this particular test works differently from others so I am very confused and I know this is a waiting game but the suspense is killing me and I just want to know if anyone is in a similar situation or has some experience/knowledge?
I have attached the 3 last ovulation tests I have done. The first one is from Sunday and was negative but LH line getting darker, the second one is from Monday which was the smiley one and LH line as dark as control line, and the third one was yesterday which was negative again with LH line a little lighter than control line.
