New to TTC, qu's re mini pill and cycle

Hi all,

I'm completely new to all this so sorry if I sound stupid. I was on the mini pill and never had periods, so have no idea about my cycle. Funnily enough the only period I have had on the mini pill started last month, and I decided to come off the pill at this point to TTC.

Period was 15-20 July
DTD 20 July, 27 July, 31 July

Today I'm bleeding- very light, brown discharge. I'm confused as to if it is an early period, implantation bleed or very early MC?

As I haven't had a regular cycle for years is my July period a reliable way of calculating my cycle? I'm so confused :(

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks :)

July period wasn't a true period but a withdrawal bleed. It may just take time to settle... patience is invaluable with ttc.

Hi thanks for your reply. I started my period 15 July and stopped the mini pill on 17 July, so the period had started before I stopped taking my pill

Still not a true period.

You can have gotten pregnant but it'd be really lucky , as the pill hormone can take a while to get out of your system. Having said that, I conceived my first on the mini pill (missed one or two and didn't use extra protection) !

Its more than likely just the beginning of a period though. Id keep an eye on the bleeding. Have you downloaded an app to track your cycles ? I would do that , once you've started logging details it will update and give you an idea of when you ovulate etc. Can take a while to get a proper idea though if your cycles are all over the place coming off the pill.

Good luck Smile

Thanks Regina, no bleeding today so just bled the one day. Still got migraine but no cramps today. I am using Clue, so will keep logging symptoms etc and see what happens!
