10DP5DT - getting a positive but feel like AF is coming!

Hi everyone!
I had IVF recently and had a day 5 blastocyst transferred - today is 10DPT. I've been testing the last few days (my OTD is Friday but I've been going crazy) and all have been positive. I've been so wary of false positives I'm not allowing myself to get excited. I've also been waking up in the night with terrible cramps and feel like AF is definitely on it's way - is this normal? Could this be a cruel false positive?? Roll on Friday!! x

Very positive. Congrats you're still in with a shout (that's how I viewed it when I found out from my ivf cycle). False positives are super rare and those lines are pretty strong for that test.

@physicskate Are you due in March? There's the Yam graduate thread if/when you feel ready to join. There aren't many of us at all so it's quite nice really. I'm 12 weeks today, I had my scan yesterday evening, I know it's not home and dry but it feels like an achievement after a miscarriage last year and then ttc for almost another year after that but then I certainly don't need to tell you that!

Have you had any scans? I've hated attending the three I've had so far - I've liked them once they've shown me it's ok but I've had my eyes shut until they've said it's ok. The sonographer yesterday was so lovely, I told her what happened last year and she offered to turn the big screen off and as soon as she'd spotted the heart beat she said. Some of them take ages and you're just laid there terrified!

Wow those are super strong lines ! Fingers crossed for you but I'd say that's very positive !

It's normal to feel cramping at the beginning , I definitely did!

You’re currently pregnant and the lines are clearly getting darker which is great.

I had shocking period pains/ovary pain after my frozen embryo transfer (5 day blast here too) - convinced I had either an ectopic pregnancy or was about to miscarry or both. I also had some brown bleeding. Baby currently snoozing on my knee and approaching his first birthday, so stay hopeful. Got it all crossed for you here!
