Help me with dating please (pregnancy, not prospective lovers)

TTC#1, many months, bumpy road. Cycles regular 28 days. Stepped back from it all in June, stopped tracking, charting, testing etc. Moved (to Scotland, long way from old GP) last week, earliest possible date to even register with new GP is >18 days. Biggest fattest positive test taken yesterday.

Timeline -

12-16 June - LMP

25 June - should have ovulated (didn’t monitor), barely DTD in heatwave

7 July - attached photo (1) shows 12dpo indent/BFN/ghost, received hundreds of times before - written off, binned, waited for AF

9-13 July - AF due, no show

18 July - smear test, mentioned TTC / lack of AF to nurse, who said I probably didn’t ovulate in June (heatwave) & did not comment on cervix (not even sure it’d look any different?! But maybe?)

22 July - +OPK, weird dreams, emotional

(Moved house)

28 July - sudden onset of sore boobs, backache

31 July - attached photo (2) shows BFP, 9dpo - test line developed on contact & went darker than control

The symptoms make me think it must have been a July conception, unless distracted with house move? The line and June’s “missed ovulation” makes me think I could be a lot further along than 9dpo / 3+0

Is it fine to wait another few weeks even if 7+0? If not, should I call / visit local EPU? And tell them the above? Would a clearblue digi with weeks help?

Not even sure if anyone with more knowledge than me could even hazard a guess from the above info but any kind souls who care to share thoughts or point in the right direction would be v much appreciated, TIA

Hmmm. I think it's a July conception...I got a darker line than your frer at 3w+5. I have really irregular cycles and my LMP was 10th June, but I ovulated on the 12th July so I'm dating myself from ovulation which I think makes me about 5 weeks pregnant now. Hope all goes well for you

You could have ovulated anywhere between the end of June and 2 weeks ago really. Opks sometimes go positive if there's enough HCG in the urine. Did you get any negative opks after the positive?

That's interesting @8daysaweek - hadn't considered ovulation might not have been one of the two dates in mind. Didn't do another OPK after the static smiley - was a little odd as had a "low" empty circle on 20/06 then straight to "peak" static on 22/06 with no flashing smiley in the meantime, usually 4-5 days. So maybe the static smiley was an HCG reading. The EPU/midwives are determined that we're 7+1 not 3+1 so guess I just wasn't looking for the early symptoms - for once. Booked a scan for Sat to be sure, with history can't bear the idea of a six week wait to find out how far in we are.

I'd put money on 7+ weeks. There was definitely a line on the first tests you did and the second test the line is sooo much darker than the control line!!!

In case anyone is still tuned in here - @8DaysAWeek had it; delayed June ovulation, CBD ovulation test read the pregnancy not LH surge & now 8+3, thank goodness for early scans! Confusing little body 🙄
