Implantation bleeding or period?

My periods havent returned since giving birth to my 11month old. Were ttc. Today i felt slight cramping, when i wiped in the morning i saw a bit of pink blood. By this afternoon, i saw i had red blood on my pad. Is it most likely to be that af has returned now?

I think its unlikely to be anything other than AF if its bright red. However I don't have any first had experience of cycles post pregnancy so maybe someone else can help xx

I actually was looking this up myself recently! Apparently it's implantation if it's light / spotting and only lasts a short time (a couple of days). I thought I had it on the weekend but it was simply a pre-cursor to AF arriving in full force on Monday.
