I want to TTC I'm October/November time so DP and I are going on a health detox. No smoking, drinking, caffeine, more greens and healthy eating.

I read that the environment in which sperm and eggs are produced has a profound impact on the foetus and future life expectancy - there was a really good series on the BBC (the amazing creation of you or something) which showed that in tribes children conceived during the wet season where the parents ate a lot of green vegetables lives around 30 years longer than those conceived during the dry season where there is a lot of reliance on grains.

Is this nuts? Is anyone else doing this? I like to think of it as laying the groundwork for TTC.

You’re not nuts (or if you are then I am too!) I am currently investigating vitamins etc and are planning to improve our lifestyle before trying to conceive around the end of the year too.
Will have to try find that BBC show. Green vegetables contain folic acid etc so would make sense x

It's this www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06crff1 it might be on YouTube or something I'm not sure.

Glad to know it's not just me! If my timelines work out then I'll have a summer baby, which I'm very excited about.

I’m sure I will find it somewhere, thanks Smile

Fingers crossed all goes to plan for us both!
