Help!! So I have 12 year old twins & got diagnosed with PCOS 9 years ago. Lifes been pretty hectic last few months (marriage ended, job losses & new partner!!) I've been pretty regular for a year or so now but I am currently 2 weeks late & the last 2 days I have been getting signs that it could be good news. I have done a few tests but all negative, hoping to get a doctors appointment this week to get it checked but I am scared that i'm getting my hopes up to be disappointed again.

Try to put it to the back of your mind for a week then do another test. It's not an emergency and you're not ill so please don't use up a valuable doctors appointment unnecessarily.

Hi,

What signs have you got that it good news hun?
X

Mum0602 · 30/07/2018 10:19

Dizziness, nausea, fatigue, gone off some food. I had the same signals when I was pregnant with my girls x

I'm 17 days late and experiencing bloating, upset tummy, slightly uncomfortable boobs needing the loo more and craving crunchy food! X

Mum0602 · 30/07/2018 15:05

I know what you mean about needing the loo more! I've had a craving for Dr Pepper recently aswell x

I just don't see how i can be pregnant as my husband had a vasectomy whilst with his ex 9 years ago, we haven't been trying because of that reason so it's not stress related x

Mum0602 · 30/07/2018 19:31

Its not unheard of for vasectomys to fail after so many years. Does your husband know how you've been feeling? x

Bex2410 · 30/07/2018 19:42

I haven't really mentioned it tbh, just say that it's probably early menopause.....I'm only 35 though! X

Mum0602 · 30/07/2018 20:10

Could be worth doing a test just for your piece of mind more than anything else. If it comes up negative then it sounds like it could need checking out. Are you normally fairly regular? x

Bex2410 · 30/07/2018 20:18

I did two tests at 10 days late and they were negative. They are usually every 26-30 days x

Mum0602 · 30/07/2018 20:31

Sounds like its something that definitely needs checking. I missed 2 months before i went to the doctors, they ran tests & found i had PCOS x

If I hadn't missed a period then my next af is due next Friday so I will wait until then and go from there. I've been experiencing several symptoms of pregnancy, similar to when I was pregnant with my son 18 years ago x

Mum0602 · 30/07/2018 20:42

I'm getting the same symptons that i had with my girls nearly 13 years ago. It was a lot worse then tho cus of being twins x

OP posts:
Bex2410 · 30/07/2018 20:46

Can you get pcos at 35? I just wish af would arrive, never thought I'd say that but I'm so bloated and nauseous x

Mum0602 · 30/07/2018 21:05

Its something you're born with but i didn't find out i had it until i was about 23 & had already had my girls. It can effect the results of HPT which is why i want to get it checked at the doctors x

OP posts:
Bex2410 · 30/07/2018 21:14

I had a scan where they put fluid through my tubes to see if they are blocked and I have a cyst removed from one ovary but that was years ago, pcos would've shown up then wouldn't it? I also went through fertility treatment in 2010 and they didn't mention it then x

Mum0602 · 30/07/2018 21:50

Yeah it would have done so doesn't sound like its that. If nothing happens when af is next due then you should definitely get it checked x

OP posts:
Bex2410 · 30/07/2018 22:13

That's what I thought. I guess all I can do is wait a bit longer. What else do you think it could be? X

Mum0602 · 31/07/2018 08:25

I honestly don't know hun x

OP posts:
Bex2410 · 31/07/2018 16:11

How are you feeling? X

Mum0602 · 31/07/2018 16:38

Not good today, really tired & can't shift the nausea! Got doctors tomorrow morning. How are you feeling? x

Bex2410 · 31/07/2018 16:54

I feel for you! I'm bloated and suffered with awful heartburn earlier. I hope the Dr will tell you what you want to hear x

Mum0602 · 31/07/2018 17:03

The bloating started yesterday aswell. Thank you, will be a surprise if he does as i was told i would need help to have any more kids x

Bex2410 · 31/07/2018 17:12

I was told the same thing, prior to meeting my husband. I have one tube blocked but with his vasectomy, well, the things I'm feeling is strange to say the least! X

Mum0602 · 01/08/2018 17:56

Doctors had to send a sample off to the hospital as it was still coming up negative, they have a more sensitive test x
