Hi all,

Today I'm 7dpo, I stupidly tested today but got a bfn which was way too early. I have 7 days until period is due.. here are my symptoms

  • strange uterus/cervix twinges shooting pains have been here for a couple days Hmm
  • lots of cm (tmi)
  • strange pains in boobs/nipples
  • hunger and frequent trips to the loo!

I also got an almost positive opk (dipped the wrong one by mistake) have loads of opk and hpt cheapies. So I don't know if that was a good sign or not? I then took the hpt and of course bfn. My own fault for taking it so early but I really hate the 2ww!! Sad

This is 6th month after MC at 8 weeks..

Anyone had similar symptoms.. I have never experienced these twinges before apart from the one time I conceived and MC.. I appreciate all ur help and advice xo

Symptom spotting is so hard! I'm similar cycle point to you - 7dpo today 4 months post mmc. Also had nausea prickles and twinges in pelvic region but I think in all honesty too early for it to be real signs of anything. There's a kind, supportive and knowledgeable thread with lots of chat over at

Hi @Kingsbury982, so sorry for your loss too. I hope you've had good people around you these past few months. I hope this one sticks for you!

My mmc was discovered at 12 week scan having died at about 10 weeks. Heartbreakingly we had seen the heartbeat at a private scan at 8.5 weeks so didn't suspect a thing.

I've heard that the opk and pregnancy test chemical reactions are actually very similar so a pregnancy can show as a positive opk but I think it would also trigger the actual pregnancy test if that were the case. It's still so early but, full disclosure, I have also tested already (and examined the stick from all angles!) and of course there was nothing!

Join us on the thread if you want, it's great company x

Hi :) I'm 6 days late and experiencing lots of symptoms but still getting BFN. I feel sick like I did when I was first preg before I had MMC and my boobs are gettin out of hand :-/

doddlebobs · 16/08/2018 08:12

@Kingsbury982 sorry for slow response and thanks for asking. It was a chemical pregnancy for me sadly last month. Tested early and got a very faint line on a cheap internet test then followed up the next day with a First Response which was very positive. Sadly spotting started the next again day and period arrived around when it would have been due.

Hope you've managed to keep off testing and that you get a great result tomorrow!

@glitterbug17 do you know when you ovulated? My af after chemical was a week late but I knew it would be as had been testing ovulation and knew that had been late. Didn't really feel any symptoms but maybe it was never meant to be and I didn't get very far after implantation.

glitterbug17 · 16/08/2018 23:22

@doddlebobs AF came today so no more wondering :( my periods are very regular, I've never been 7 days late before (well, since before my MMC) so it was very unusual but I'm trying not to resent my post-MC body xx

Rosiecat90 · 17/08/2018 14:19

Hi I'm new here, I miscarried in June and am now trying for another baby but already I feel like I'm losing hope. I guess I'm looking for reassurance that I'm normal bevause frankly I feel like my body is broken. I feel like I will never go back to normal, I still constantly need a wee and feel exhausted. I even began throwing up again which made me think perhaps I was pregnant again but I got my period today and a negative test. Since my mc my periods (I've had 2) are so light they are virtually non existent, more like spotting. This is really making me worry that there's something wrong and I'll never concieve again. I know it's early days and I'm probably worried about nothing but I'm a very anxious person and thought it might help to chat to others who've been in the same boat.

Rosiecat90 · 17/08/2018 14:23

Sorry everyone I meant to start a new thread not hijack this one! Like I say I'm new to the site and how it works! Blush

glitterbug17 · 18/08/2018 00:42

Hi @Rosiecat90 There is no normal, not everyone is the same. I had a MMC on 2nd May, SMM 2 days later, 6 wks to first period. I'm now on my 3rd period but this last one was 7 days late. Try not to put yourself under pressure, your body is doing the best it can xxxx
